Alec is at baseball practice and he think's baseball isn't for him because he loves poetry. He does not want to play baseball but his parents want him to play baseball at Kansas State University. His friend Alex has the same problem with her parents. They both went to talk to their parents. They ask their parents to come to the university to talk about their futures. Now the family are sitting in the dorms talking. Alec is now talking to his parents Mike and Jill huff.
"Mom and dad we need to talk," said Alec.
"What do you need to talk about honey?," Asked Jill.
" I want to be a poetry writer as a career," said Alec.
"No you will not mister because you will get an education and become a doctor," said Jill.
"Alec you will listen to your mother and do what you are told,"said Mike.
"But it is my life, not yours!" said Alec.
"No, we raised you, so we get to choose what you do in life," said Jill and Mike.
"I'm not a child any more so I can do what I want to do in my life," said Alec.
"Then never come to the house never again," said Jill.
"I disown you from the family," said Mike.
"Ok I will not come back to the family never again," said Alec
Alec and his parents went their separate ways and now 7 years later he is a famous poetry writer. He wrote a poetry book that was called "The Up and Downs" and he wrote many more books. He lives with his wife Maddie and his 2 kids Mikey and Kim. Alec went to his parents' house after all these years to tell them that he was successful in poetry. He knocked on the door of his childhood home and his dad mike answer the door and he said, " What are you doing here."
"I'm here to tell you guys that I was successful in the career I want to do in life," said Alec
"Now leave before your mom gets home from work," said Mike.
Alex is going to talk to her parents about being a YouTuber in the future. Her parents want her to be a vet in the future. Their names are Jack and Summer wing. They are in the kitchen in Alex's dorm room.
"Mom ,dad will you come in the kitchen please we need to talk," said Alex.
"Ok what do we need to talk about sweetie,"said Summer.
"I want to become a famous youtube," said Alex
"No you will not be a youtuber but, you will become a vet," said Summer.
"Mom that not fair to me in the slightest," said Alex.
"Listen to your mother on this honey," said Jack.
"Do what your dad say sweetie," said Summer.
"NO I will not do what you want me to do in future," said Alex
"Then drop out of college," said Summer
"Ok I will then mom," said Alex
Alex and her parents went their separate ways and now 7 years later. Alex is a successful youtuber and she has one million subscribers on her YouTube Channel. She is not married but has a boyfriend's name is Max. She wants to go talk to her parents but she is still mad at her mom and dad for not wanting her to do what she wants to do in the future. She loves her career that she is in. She did go to her parents house to tell them that she is pregnant. She drove to her childhood home and she knocked on the door and her parents answer the door. They asked, "What are you doing here Alex?"
"I'm here to tell you something important," said Alex
They let her in the house to talk.
"What is that you need to tell us," said Summer
"You are going to be grandparents," said Alex
"No way," they said.
"Yes way," said Alex
The people that will not let you be you are not friends or your family. They will tell you not to do something that you want to do in the future.
