Chapter 1

Julia's POV

"Hurry up Julia we're going to be late" Marisa shouted from her bedroom.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back and ran through the door. "Sorry I had to fix my hair again but now I'm ready." I smiled at her.

Marisa and I have been best friends since kindergarten and I really don't know what I would do without her. I trust her like nobody else but still I can't tell her everything that's on my mind.

She hissed "At least you're ready now I don't want to be later than we are already" She said and hurried to the door.

I followed her. "C'mon it's just a party like every other one. We don't have to be punctual, we don't even know the host!" I laughed.

When we arrived at the party Marisa went straight to the bar and got herself some beer. Although all people at the party were not older than 17 there was barely someone who wasn't drinking or smoking.
To be honest, I've never been the type of girl who was partying and drinking all weekend and when I went to partys like this I just went because I could hang out with my friends.

"Hey miss" i heard a familiar voice say. I turned around to find Sam my best male friend grinning at me.

"Hey mister" I hugged him but immediately pulled away when I smelled alcohol and laughed

"Seriously Sam? The party started barely an hour ago and you already smell like you've been drinking the whole day?"
I asked him as I raised my eyebrows and could't help but laugh.

"Sorry princess, not everyone can be as sober as you are" He grinned but was interrupted by Marisa who was walking towards us

"Hey have you two seen the others?"
With the others she meant our other friends: Mike, Lisa and Hulk.

Hulk's real name was Finn but we kept on calling him Hulk since he was really confident about his body and spent every free minute in the gym training it.

"Yeah they are sitting right there" Sam told her and pointed at a couch at the wall. "Great let's go" Marisa said exitedly and grabbed our arms.

The party was great. Sam, Marisa and I talked and laughed a lot when Mike, Lisa and Hulk danced the whole time. When they returned to the couch Lisa reminded me "Hey Jules we have to start planning your birthday party! We only have two weeks left!"

Oh no, not that subject again... I thought.
"Uhhmm I don't really know..I thought about not celebrating my birthday at all this year" I said out loud.

"What?!" They all said in unison.

"No absolutely not Julia! It's your 16th birthday! You have to throw a party!" We will organize something for you!" Marisa told me and they all agreed.

Hopefully just a little party with my closest friends.. I laughed at this thought. I knew my best friend at I knew that this will not be a little party.

The rest of the night was okay. Hulk told us about some girl he met at the gym and we encouraged him to ask her on a date which he promised to do.

The situation between Mike and Lisa was still the same, which means: Everyone knows that they are in love with each other except the two of them and Mike didn't have the balls to ask her out.

I sighed and thought about what Marisa said to me a couple of day ago "Maybe they need a little help".

Please not, they have to handle it by theirselves.

When I arrived back home my parents where already asleep.

I haven't seen them much the last couple days I thought.

My parents have their own company and are pretty busy with it. Which means: They don't have that much time and when they have I'm either busy oder tired.

I went to my room and started my laptop. It was already 1am but I knew I couldn't sleep because I first needed to calm down a bit.

I checked my instagram and my twitter and saw a post by Ian Somerhalder. I sighed. Ian isn't just an increadibly handsome and talented actor. He is also a animal lover and someone who really cares about the enviroment and even has his own foundation the ISF.
I smiled when I clicked on the link he posted.
"Shoot a scene with me at the vampire diaries set" I read and my heart started to beat double it's pace.

When I finished to read the whole article I decided to donate 50$ to ISF and take part at the raffle.

That would be awesome I thought not only would I meet the most exiting change maker on this planet. I would also travel to the United States and do something to escape from
my daily routine..

I smiled at the thought and begged in silence to get this opportunity.

On monday I went into the classroom and walked over to my friends. Marisa, Sam and Mike went to my class but Hulk and Lisa were in another one.

"Hey" I smiled "What were you talking about?"

"Marisa tries to persuade Mike to ask Lisa out" Sam grinned and added "But he hasn't the balls to do it"

"Shut up" Mike said and rolled his eyes "I'll do it okay? Today after school I'll ask her." He told us and left.

"Great Sam, you already pissed him off and I said and glared at his innocent green eyes.

I understand why so many girls admire him I suddenly thought.

And I was right, Sam had short brown hairs and beautiful green eyes and when he smiled nearly every girl would do whatever he wanted her too. Well, except for me, marisa and lisa. We were his best friends and absolutely immune to his looks.

My thoughts were interrupted when our maths teacher mr. reynolds came in the classroom.

"Take your seats students" He demanded and began with the lesson.

During the lesson I could neither focus on our exercises nor on what mr. reynolds said.

All I could think about was that I had a chance, a really really little chance, I had to admit, but still a chance to meet Ian Somerhalder.

"Julia? Julia?" Mr. Reynolds repeated for the maybe second or third time.

"Sorry, I was somewhere else" I apologized. "What did you say?"
I asked with a light smile.

"Well I can see that Julia and this isn't the first time in the past weeks. You need to focus on the lessons although you won't understand anything in the coming months or even years!" He scolded me and asked someone else for the answer.

I sighed and looked at Sam, Marisa and Mike who looked concerned in my direction. I shrugged and tried to focus on the lesson.
