It was the day of my birthday party, the day before my real birthday though. There was cake, presents, and lots of cool things! My mom wasn't there and my dad was in charge because he said my mom was busy. I wanted my mom to come, but I barely even noticed she was gone so I didn't really care.

After the party, I was jumping around from the candy. I couldn't wait to tell my mom all the fun I had at the party. I kept laughing at my friend that was sleeping over. My dad pulled me over to speak to me.

"Your friend's not sleeping over tonight." he said. "Wait... why not?" I asked all of a sudden kinda upset. "I talked to her parents. She's just not sleeping over tonight." "I-" he walked away and motioned for me to without even looking. I looked at my friend. "Sorry. My dad can be like that some times. I'll get him to tell me why." I said smiling a bit.

"For the 5th time. She's just not sleeping over." he said. "But why?" "She's just not." "But why?" "I said she's just not." "But-" "BECAUSE YOUR MOTHER'S GONE!" he yelled finally turning around. I didn't know what to say. "Wh-what do you mean... Gone?" I asked. He silenced. I knew the answer. A tear crept down my cheek.

"I found her laying on the porch not moving and scarcely breathing. I said I had to go out and I was taking her to the doctor. They don't know what it was. They tried to save her but they didn't know how. They didn't know what she had so they didn't know." he said tears leaking down his face now. "Nobody knew what to do." My face was covered with tears too.

"I-I... I want her back." I said sniffles in my words. "Papa bring her back." I hugged him and cried on his chest. "It's okay Luna." He said tears falling in my hair. "I'm here." he cried more and hugged me tighter. I squeezed him harder too. "I'll miss her."
