Chapter 12

"It's been too long" said Mikey, watching the building collapse slowly.

"They're fine" said MJ helping Gerard with his wound, now he was going pale and weak.

"Sheesh Gee you don't look to good" Said Frank.

"I'll be fine" he said smiling.

BOOM!

A massive explosion pushed them back a couple of feet.

"NO!" said MJ. It turned out the whole top half of the building exploded.

"I'm going to find them" Said Mikey slowly getting up. He ran into the building.

"MIKEY NO!" Yelled Gerard trying to get up but was too weak.

"I'll get him" said MJ running after him.

We made our way down the stairs and saw the entrance.

"We just made it" said Jet.

"Yeah now let's get out before another massive explosion wipes out the rest of this place" said Mitch (Chaos).

Then the door opened and MJ ran in.

"Hey your alright!" said MJ smiling, but a look of concern came over her as she saw me, "You okay Alex?" she said.

"I'm okay" I said leaning against the wall.

"Did you see Mikey by any chance?" she said looking more worried.

"No why?" said Maree.

"Cause he just ran in here looking for you guys" she said.

BOOM!!!!!!!

I woke up to see smoke. My head felt worse. I could barley stand up but I looked around and saw rubble, cement and glass everywhere.

"Alex!" I herd Maree yell.

"Maree, are you okay?" I asked turning to see her next to me.

"Not really but what about you?" she asked.

"Could be better" I coughed. Everyone woke up we all were pretty bashed up, but we couldn't find Mikey.

"Mikey?.....MIKEY WERE ARE YOU!" I herd Gerard frantically scream looking though the wreckage. We all looked around for about 30 minutes. I moved a piece of large rubble and I saw Mikey, I flow of relief came over me as I got him out. But then something felt wrong he wasn't waking up....or breathing.

"Oh gosh......GUYS I FOUND HIM HE'S NOT BREATHING!!" I said tears coming to my eyes. Everyone rushed over and Gerard kneeled next to him.

"Is he okay?" said Gerard getting very upset.

"I.....don't know" I said. Gerard moved over and cradled his little brother in his arms.

"Mikey.....everything's going to be okay........Mikey?.......Mikey!" said Gerard now crying. Everyone had a look of dismay and sadness on their face. Ray moved over and felt for a pulse on Mikey's arm, he felt nothing and tried his neck.......nothing. Tears came to his eyes as he looked at Gerard.

"I'm sorry.......h-he's gone".

"No...No, no, NO!" Gerard screamed looking down at his brother, "I'm so sorry, Mikey, I'm sorry" he whispered to Mikey brushing the hair out of his (Mikey's) face. I started to cry, I felt like screaming. I looked at Gerard who was hugging Mikey and crying.

"I'm s-sorry" he whispered to Mikey again.

We buried Mikey just outside our hideout and put his stuff in a box on his grave. We all said some stuff about him and we all cried. Then Gerard came up with Mikey's bass guitar.

"We were best friends for as long as I can remember, we fought through thick and thin, I'm not really sure what to say but that I'm going to miss you.....and it'll never be the same without you" he said crying while putting the bass on the grave. After 10 more minutes we all walked inside, but Gerard stayed out longer.

"Now what?" said Gabi breaking the silence.

"Well we killed Korse we'll be safe for a while before someone takes over" said Frank whipping a tear from his cheek. Gerard walked in, "Your right" he said.

"So what do we do?" I asked him.

"Well right now we can prepare for when they attack, cause when they do we'll fight for Mikey, we'll fight to the end"
