~David's POV~
If I had to pick one word to describe Nova it would be extraordinary. Whenever I was around her I was always happy she was like a drug to me. She was like Nova cane to me. She was different then the rest from the moment I met her in the hall sophomore year I could tell she was going to change my life forever. But little did I know I was going to end up falling in love with her.

~Novas POV~
After high school I was determined I was going to go to college. Growing up my mom would always tell me and my sister Ember "Sei molto intelligente, devi andare al college, non buttare via la tua intelligenza" which in english transfers to "you're very smart you have to go to college don't throw your smarts away". My mom was always very supportive with our decisions and I loved her for it.
My sister Ember is 4 years younger than me so she's 18 and is a senior in high school. She still lives with our mom in Chicago obviously. Growing up it was just us three. My mom was born in Florence, Italy and moved to America when she was 12 with her parents. She met our father when she moved here but sadly I don't have any memories with him. He died when I was 4 and when our mom was pregnant with Ember.
Well for me after graduation I was stuck in Chicago meanwhile all my friends left and moved around the world. I got a small shitty apartment downtown with my best friend Lexi and we've been living there for about 8 months now. I have no plans for my future and I need to get my life together but hey, yolo am I right?

I was sitting on the couch when I heard Lexi scream from the kitchen. My body jumped up and I ran to the kitchen. "are you okay!" I yelled as I turned into the kitchen. I saw her holding up mail and staring at it amazed. "More than great guess what" she said smiling and turning to me. "what?" I asked sighing of relieve. "the offer I put on a building I got picked to buy it" she said cheesing at me. Lexi always wanted to have her own Bakery/coffee shop. It was always a dream of hers and it was finally happening.
"that's great which one?" I asked excited for her. "the one in L.A!" she said even more excited. "oh my god Lexi do you know what this means?" I said holding her hand and smiling at her. "we're moving to LA!" she yelled as we jumped up and down.
"oh my god we can reconnect with corinna" Lexi said backing away from me and covering her mouth. "and david?" she said more as a question as she tilted her head to the side. "um I don't know about that one just because of how everything ended" I said as she nodded her head. "it's cool I understand but what I do know is I'm going to start looking at apartments" she said smiling and opening her laptop.
I sat down at the kitchen table next to Lexi as she started to look at apartments. I tried to pay attention but I couldn't my mind kept making me think of David. He was my best friend ever since sophomore year and when we graduated he moved to California and we just kind of lost connection I guess.....
~Graduation Day 2014~
After graduation I walked out of the building seeing a crowd of people in front of me. My eyes were scrolling looking for Corinna, Lexi and most importantly David. I had big news I wanted to tell him. David was my best friend since sophomore year but Senior year changed my opinion on him. I started to actually like him in a more than friend way. I didn't know if he felt the same but I knew that the day after graduation David was moving to California to pursue his career and I had to tell him about it or it would eat at me forever.
I spotted Corinna and I ran over to her I wrapped my arms around her and she turned around and smiled at me. "Hey guess who just graduated!" she yelled making me laugh. "listen have you seen David I have to tell him" I said making her smile even bigger. "I'm sorry that's just so cute" she said laughing as I rolled my eyes smiling. "and actually I'm pretty sure he went with Alex in his car" she said pointing at the parking lot that was next to the building.
"shit I'll see you later" I said as I took off and ran toward the parking lot. I made the right move wearing flats to graduation. I saw the backs of Alex, Ilyah and David walking. "David!" I yelled making all three of them turn around. David whispered something to them as I stopped in my tracks. They kept walking and David turned around and ran up to me.
"Happy graduation we did it!" he said as he ran up to me and hugged me. "who would've thought we would actually graduate?" I said laughing with him. I didn't notice but David's hands were still around my waist. He must've noticed to because then he moved his arms uncomfortably.
For as long as I knew David we only had one incident between us. Junior year we accidentally kissed for the first time. It was 6th period lunch and we were sitting outside on the bleachers. David told me he liked me and I didn't feel the same at the time. But by the time I knew I liked him it was a year later. Besides that nothing else ever happened between us.
"Listen honestly I have to tell you something" I said looking down at my red sparkly flats. "I know you're leaving tomorrow morning but I have to tell you or it's going to kill me" I said looking back up at his confused face. "David I really like you and I don't mean like a friend you just mean so much to me and you always have and whenever I'm around you I just can't explain the feeling you give me and I know I sound crazy-" I started before he cut me off with his laughter.
"why are you laughing?" I asked confused looking at him. "Nova I like you to and I have since junior year" he said making me smile and look at him up and down. "but nows not the time" he said making my heart sink. "I mean I'm moving across the country tomorrow and as bad as I want this to happen it can't it wouldn't work" he said now holding onto my hands. I was upset by the news but I completely understood how he felt. "It's okay" I said smiling back up at him "I totally understand it's okay trust me I'm just going to miss you a lot and it sucks" I said as I couldn't help but a tear fall from my eye. "But hey we still have to stay in touch really promise me" I said sticking my pinky finger out.
David and I always took pinky promises serious and if they were broke whoever broke the promise the other person would pick their punishment but neither of us ever broke a pinky promise.
"I promise you we won't lose touch" he said connecting his pinky finger with mine. "I'm gonna miss you" I said as he pulled me into a hug again. "bye David" I said as I pulled away and looked up at him. "bye Nova" he said smiling at me. We started walking backwards while still talking to each other.
"don't blow up and forget about me!" I yelled making him smile. "I could never!" he yelled back as I smiled "I love you Nova Marino!" he yelled at me "I love you to David Dobrik" he waved at me one last time and turned his back around as I did the same and that was the last thing I ever said to David Dobrik.
