It's the year twenty eleven and it's my first year of high school. Harry and I stick together like glue. Him and I were best friends since kindergarten and I have a minor crush on him. He doesn't know it yet or picked up the hints. I swear to god he is stupid sometimes. I caught the attention of one of Harry's friends the first day but I can't remember his name. I think it's Louis but I'm not a hundered per cent sure.
As Harry and I became more and more distant, I was becoming a loner. I had no friends and Harry seemed to have plenty. I felt like I was forgotten by my best friend. My grades started to slip to the low sixty's high fifty's. My parents lost it on me when they saw my grades on a few papers. I was a high nineties almost a hundred percent kid. I told them about that Harry and I weren't besties anymore and they caught on that was the reason why my grades were slipping. My mom sat me down one evening.
"Alice, boys will be boys and let him be. If he doesn't come back, then assume he has moved on. You are a beautiful girl and he will for sure come back. I promise," she states.
"How sure can you be mom. I am not sure if he will ever come back," I reply.
She hugs me and leaves me be to finish my homework. A few minutes later I get a text from an unknown number.
'Meet me at the cafe you work at sweetie. Harry gave me your number by the way. Be there in thirty minutes.'
I am now curious and get ready to meet this person. I tell my mom I'll be back before eleven and grab my coat on the way out. As I make my way down to the Cafe, someone hugs me from behind. It was Harry's friend Louis. He looks so cute and I almost slapped him for scaring me. I met him over the summer before school started. I could tell he had a small crush on me and I tried to play it off cool. He was three years older than me but he seemed not to care. Damn I want to kiss him so badly right now.
"I didn't think you would show. Harry told me everything about you. You seem a little shy?" Louis states.
"Yes I'm bloody shy...how else would I be. I barely know you and you bloody text me to meet you at the cafe I work at. So why bring me out now mid way through the school year and not the summer?" I fire back.
"Well i didn't know how you would react if a guy that is three years older asked you out on date. I can guess you don't take it so well. Harry wants me to apologize to you for being so distant. His parents are at him for getting into a good college and his parents banned him from seeing you. They think you're a bad influence on him," he states.
"Makes some sense but it would have been nice to hear it from him though," I say trying to hide back tears.
Louis sees this and gives me a hug. He kisses me on the forehead and tells me it's going to be okay. We walk into the cafe and grab a coffee. We start talking and we become so close. Louis is the popular kid in high school and he accepts me as one of his friends. He walks me back home around eleven and as I am about to go inside he pulls me back.
"Alice, you are a very beautiful girl with an even more beautiful soul and personality. I want you to be my girlfriend. Will you be mine?" He asks.
"I think it's a bit to soon for that but I will give it a shot. So the answer will be yes," I reply.
He pulls me in so close and kisses me so passionately. I couldn't resist it and kisses back. I give Louis thanks for the night out and can't wait for the next one. I walk back into my home and didn't realize my mom was watching the whole thing. I look at her and my cheeks go bright red.
"Who was the you fellow? We should have him over for Christmas dinner in a few weeks. He seems nice," she asked.
"His name is Louis, a friend of Harry's. It was just one date. I am not to sure of it'll last. But I'll ask him if he wants to come over for Christmas dinner," I reply.
The next day at school, Louis meets me out front and gives me a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. Everyone that is out front stares at us in awe. He grabs my hand and walks into the school.
"Don't worry about them. They are all just jealous that I managed to get a girl like you. All my friends thought I'd never get a girlfriend and I have you to brag to them about," he states, "I'll drop you at your first class and I'll introduce you to my friends at lunch okay. See you in two and a half hours."
He kisses me goodbye for now and runs to his class. Damn how did I get him. He is so out of my league but I have him. I'm so happy. But now I am getting all the glares from others.
But who cares, if people want to stare let them. Louis is still in my mind. Damn I forgot to ask him if he wanted to come for Christmas dinner at my place. But I'll wait till last minute to ask him....just in case things don't work out.
As the day progressed, I am being called a slut and whore and that hurt. Even though I promised Louis to meet him at lunch, I ran to the bathroom and cried my eyes out. I felt bad and I know I didn't deserve to be called those things. I hear someone walk into the bathroom, and I try to toughen up. I walk out of the bathroom stall and run into someone. It was Louis. He managed to walk into the lady's room without any issues. He looks upset and worries.
"Alice what's wrong? I didn't see you at the table for lunch," he asked.
" Just a group of girls bullied me to the point where I broke down and cried. I didn't want you to worry about me. I don't know what to do. I guess all of the hate of me dating you got to me and it killed me to think about it. I didn't know where else to go," I replied.
"Its okay. I'm here for you. How about I get you something to eat and make sure those girls don't bully you again," Louis states.
"That's great but don't worry about those girls. I can handle them. They are just a bunch of insecure people who are trying to tear me down," as I look at him in awe.
As we make our way to my job after school, we talk and laugh about stupid things that happened during the day. As we walk into the cafe, the group of girls that bullied me were there. I just try to continue my day as they look at me and laugh. As they see I don't care, they stop laughing and walk out the front door. Good, I didn't want to serve them anyways.
"Text me when you get home okay? I just want to make sure you get home safe," Louis states.
"Okay will do. Stay out of trouble now. My mom wants to know, since it's close to Christmas, did you want to come over for a dinner?" I reply as I kiss him goodbye.
"Let me think about it and I'll get back to you on that. The X-factor is coming up and I want to prepare for that. Give me a few days to sit on it," as he kisses me back.
I go to the back and change for work. The shift goes by pretty fast and I made almost two hundred dollars in tips. I guess I am pretty good at my job. At the end of my shift, my manager pulls me aside.
"You have been here for only three months and you are pretty good. How about I give you a promotion to assistant manager and a pay raise to twenty dollars a hour? Does that sound pretty good?" She asked.
"That sounds pretty awesome. I would take that offer. I won't let you down. I promise," I reply.
I make my way to tell my parents about the good news. As I was texting Louis, some one tackles me football style to the ground. All I can hear is a vehical screeching into a hydro poll that was behind me. I open my eyes and realise I am on the ground with a guy on top of me.
