A child laid unconscious on the concrete pavement, his breathing uneven. Beside him was a bunch of pills, still in their package, scattered on the ground. A woman towered over the child, gazing sorrowfully at him. A tear rolled down her cheeks, glistening in the moonlight.

"I'm sorry, my child, but I do not have much time left. Please, do your best to survive with the person I entrusted you with," she said, as if the child was able to hear her. She turned away, disappearing into the shadows of the dark alley.

The door slammed open, earning screams of people who were laying unsuspecting.

"What the heck, Jiho?" Kyung glared at the man before pausing. His mouth slowly gaped.

"Who is that on your shoulder?" Taeil narrowed his eyes, gaze landing of the child that was on Jiho's back.

"Don't tell me you kidnapped an unconscious kid!" Yukwon gasped dramatically.

"Can you not," Jiho rolled his eyes, "Can any one of you with a heart come help me with this kid." he grumbled, staggering as he heaved the child into the room. Minhyuk stood up, opening the door of the bedroom. With the combined efforts of Jaehyo and Jiho, they managed to put the child safely on the bed. The oldest was tasked to look after the kid as the others dragged Jiho to the living room.

"So, care to explain?"

Jiho shifted uncomfortably under the watchful gaze of the four older brothers.

"Well, I found him on the way home from the studio. He was unconscious, and no one was there. I couldn't bear to leave a child like that, so I brought him home. Also, I found some--"

"Instead of bringing him to the hospital or police station, you brought him to the house?" Kyung exclaimed, cutting Jiho off.

"Uh... yes?"

"What were you thinking..."

The air was tense. The silence was deafening. Jiho sheepishly looked around before lowering his head.

"Guys! He's sweating a lot and breathing really heavily! I just touched his forehead and it was burning!" Taeil roared, breaking the tension in the room.

Everyone rushed into the room the boy was currently residing in. He was hyperventilating, his forehead drenched in sweat. His face was as pale as a ghost, and his lips seemed to have lost all their colour. He gripped the blanket so tightly it seemed like it was about to tear. And it did.

"W-wha what do we do-" Jaehyo panicked.

"Water! I'll go get some water!" Yukwon shouted before dashing out.

The boy drank the water, but he wasn't getting any better.

"Should I call the hospital?"

The room was in mayhem, as everyone struggled to communicate.

"Guys!"

The room quietened down.

"I found what looks like medicine beside him where I found him." Jiho took out a few packets of pills. They were thick and round, and was a deep rose red. It was one of those pills were you put it in your mouth and let it slowly dissolve.

"I think that's his?"

"What if it hurts him?"

"I really think we should bring him to the hospital..."

Jiho took out one of the pills, gently placing it on the tongue of the boy.

"You do realise you're feeding a stranger some unknown pills right." Minhyuk mumbled, earning a glare from Jiho.

The child slowly recovered as the pill dissolved in his mouth. His breathing slowly steadied and his grip loosened. His complexion started to become better. Soon, his eyelids fluttered open. He slowly sat up with the help of Jiho. Squinting his eyes, he scanned his surroundings.

"Are you okay now? Do you remember where you came from? Were you separated fron your parents when we found you on the side of the road? Where did you live?" Taeil shot out questions like a machine gun.

The pupils of the young child shook as a whimper escaped from his mouth.

"Hyung, you're scaring the child," Yukwon said.

"W-where am I?" the child croaked, voice hoarse and raspy as if he hasn't spoken or drank water for days.

"We found you unconscious and brought you to our dorm. Do you know where you live?" Kyung tried to sound as gentle as possible.

The boy shook his head.

"What about your name?" Jiho asked.

The boy pondered for a moment.

"I... I'm Jihoon." Jihoon mumbled. His voice was raspy and deep, too deep for a boy who hasn't hit puberty. He also sounded as if he hadn't spoken for months.

The hyungs shot glances at each other.

"Amnesia?" All of them had the same thought.

"Let's just being him to the hospital..."

After letting Jihoon rest for a while, they brought him to the hospital to do a check-up, but they couldn't find any anomalies. If fact, he was very healthy. The only problem they found was that he had a low volume of blood, but it didn't explain the syndromes that he had experience.

They also brought him to the police station, but the police weren't able to find out the identity of Jihoon at all. They had used his fingerprints and name and whatever little information they had about him, but there wasn't even a trace of where he was from.

They went back to the house, gathering at the living room.

"What do we do now?" Taeil sighed.

"Take him in?" Kyung suggested.

The 6 hyungs turned their head, staring at Jihoon who was innocently tilting his head with his cheeks puffed. He looked left and right at his older brothers who were staring at him intensely, as if trying to pierce a hole through him. They sighed and turned their away.

"I still feel like a child should be with their parents." Jaehyo objected.

"Do you know where his parents are or where he lives?" Jiho shot.

"... no..." Jaehyo hung his head, dejected.

"But we can't just let a child wander aimlessly in the streets." Yukwon added, gaining the nod of Kyung.

"I support it. Many of us ended up here because we needed help. Why not just add another person?" Minhyuk agreed.

"Dude, he is a child. Who knows, his parents might still be looking for him."

"Then we would've found someone when we were at the police station. Plus, he doesn't remember anything. Are you gonna let the poor boy wait for his parents without aim? Who knows how he ended unconscious in the middle of nowhere. At the very least, we should provide him a place to stay."

No one spoke.

"Silence means consent. We'll take Jihoon in. If his parents look for him, we would send Jihoon back. But until then, he will be in our care." Jiho stood up from the couch, clasping his hands together. Taking a blanket, they covered the child who was curled up into a ball, sleeping peacefully on the sofa.
