Hotaru felt so foreign in the outfit she was in, but Aizawa's reaction had made the night ten times better. Sadly, she'd have to wait for her friends to get there and sit at the table or else it would look odd that she would want to sit near Aizawa. Toya dragged her over to a table of his friends, making sure to keep an arm around her at all times. Soon enough Kyo and Miyu made their entrance; Kyo in a suit with a cream tie, and Miyu in a short cream dress with light brown thigh high boots. Her tail looked to be swaying in excitement as she looked around at all the decorations. Kyo nudged Miyu and gestured towards Aizawa's table, trying not to make it look planned and they made their way over.
"Hello, would it be ok if we sat here?" Miyu asked Aizawa with an excited smile. He nodded and they sat down, looking in Akahana's general direction.
"Thank you, we knew Toya wouldn't let her anywhere near this table if we hadn't of sat here first," Kyo stated nonchalantly, waving at Akahana who was making a bee-line for them.
She finally made it and plopped down in the seat next to Kyo, "What took you guys so long? I said seven, not seven thirty." She hissed and Kyo recoiled.
"Listen we tried but we were having wardrobe malfunctions," He exclaimed.
"He didn't have a cream tie so we had to make a trip." Miyu sighed.
Aizawa fondly watched the three interact, seeing Hotaru up close in the dress made his heart squeeze. Her dress was form-fitting and the front part had an opening so you could see her entire left leg when she walked. She finally looked at Aizawa directly and he perked up, catching himself staring again.
"Hey," she smiled at him, and took a look over his suit; it was the one Seijin had given him, "you look nice, Aizawa." He was in all black attire and his hair was pulled back just how she liked it; god was he an attractive human being.
He felt his face heat up a little, "As do you."
"Oh my god get a room." Kyo groaned.
Akahana's head whipped around, and she responded with a glare and a set of nails to his thigh. He yelped and jerked back, holding his leg like a hurt puppy.
"Anyway," she sighed, setting her hand bag on the table and sliding her bicep length gloves off, "the place looks nice. The teachers have really upped their game this year." She smiled over at Midnight.
"Yes, well, last year's was atrocious since Nezu was determined to do it all himself," Midnight replied as she scooted one of the petals on the table more toward the middle.
"Don't remind me," Akahana half laughed, "I watched Kyo try to ride the mechanical bull three times before he nearly got a concussion."
"Hey, I wasn't that bad." Kyo tried to argue but Akahana pulled up a video of him on her phone and he shut up.
"Oh, more students are coming in," Mic stood, "I should probably get to the DJ booth and get music ready," he paused, "There's a karaoke segment I plan on doing, fyi." He winked at Akahana and just like that he was off.
She furrowed her eyebrows in his direction before shaking her head with a smile and shrugging to herself. Aizawa couldn't help but look at Akahana with a softness that was unusual for his terribly sharp demeanor. Did he have feelings for her? He looked down at the table, noticing the rose petals matched her hair and he smiled a little.
He sighed and Midnight nudged him, "You good?" She whispered. The others were looking around and talking about the music so they weren't paying attention.
He looked over at her with a torn look, "I don't know." Her eyebrows raised and she pushed up her glasses as she sat up.
"Do you want to go see what Nezu's up to?" She asked, trying to make it look like they weren't going to have a private talk.
