Chrysralinda's P.O.V

Ryan... My eyes fill with tears that start streaming rapidly down my face. I quickly crawl over to Ryan. He coughs up blood and I say, " Ryan!!" He smiles sadly at me and says quietly, " I'm okay..." I cry harder. His eyes start closing and I say, " R-ryan! Keep your eyes opened!! D-dont close them! I'm gonna go get your parents!"

I  get up quickly and run over to Ryan's porch. I trip and get up hastily. I knock on Ryan's door with my heart beating so hard against my chest that it felt like my chest was going to shatter. Ryan's mom opens the door with a smile. She frowns when she sees my face and worry overtakes her expression. " Chrystalinda what's wrong?!"

I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out... I open it once more and manage to say, " R-r-ryan got ran over!" Her eyes widen and they fill with tears. She looks at me and says, " Chrystalinda, can you please take Avalina to your house and ask your mom if she could take care of her while I call the ambulance?" I nod my head and Mrs.Levy calls Avalina down. Avalina runs over to me and gives me a warm hug.

I look at her in the eyes and say, " Hey sweety... Your gonna be staying with my mom for a few hours okay?" She nods her head. She gives her mom a hug and we walk out the door and over to my house. I knock hurriedly and my mom opens the door and says, " Chrystalinda what's wrong?! What happened honey?!" I tell Avalina to go inside and explain to my mom what had happened. She agrees and minutes later I hear the ambulance....

At the hospital

They wheel Ryan in hastily and I follow quickly along with his parents. They take him into the emergency room and tell us to wait outside. I can't take this!!! Ryan is dying in there and there telling me to wait!?

I pace back and forth. Back and froth, back and forth, back and forth, until the doctor comes out and tells us we can enter. I enter quickly and in there is Ryan lookin so, so helpless. With so many cuts and bruises. Blood seeping through his hospital gown. My eyes fill with tears. I can't bear the sight. It breaks my heart to see him like this. Ryans mom breaks down into uncontrollable sobs, with his dad quietly crying along side her.

I walk slowly to Ryan and stand at the side of the bed. I stroke his hair and his face and tears stream down my face. I sit on the chair and rest my head on the bed. Why did this have to happen to him? Why? Why?! Why couldnt this just be me. All for a damn lip balm. I snort out loud.

I look over at his parents. They look terrible. They look so vulnerable and sad. So much sadness and despair in their eyes. My eyes travel down to the giant blood spot on the hospital gown. I reach out with my hand and touch the blood. The blood was warm. I frown and and look at his face and see his eyebrows crinkle together in pain.

I quickly take my hand away. I shouldn't cause him more pain. Its my fault he's like this to begin with. All my fault!

I looked down for a moment. A split second. And then...I hear the line... Go flat...

A/N
