Sarah Dest - formally known as Sarah - was a girl who crept around. She wasn't noticed by many people. She mostly sat alone at lunch. She didn't have any friends. People would avoid her. She felt like she would never be loved. That she wasn't loved. Her mom and dad passed away 2 months ago in a car accident. Her brother died of cancer. Her baby sister grew sick and died of many diseases. Her life wasn't like a fairy tell. It was a toxic wasteland. Nothing good happened. Every where you looked, something terrible popped up. It was inescapable. She couldn't run and she couldn't hide. She tried to forget it but the pain just came back. She thought about this 24/7. Never forgetting her thoughts. "Is someone sitting here?" A voice asked from behind me. I didn't answer. I heard a plate hit the table with a clack sound. I cringed at the noise and took my hood off, looking up at some guy. He was looking straight back at me and nervously started to eat his food. I looked away and brushed my hair out of my face. "Are you new here?" I mumbled in an annoyed voice. He looked down and back up at me as I turned to face him once again. "I am. I just moved here from Connecticut." He replied with a nervous smile. "I figured. People who know me don't really sit with me." I said in a sad irritable voice. "Oh, I'm sorry. I hope you don't mind me sitting here." He said, reaching for his water. "I don't mind. I'm just a bit surprised someone sat here." I replied, leaning up. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and reached for my water. I took a sip and placed it back. "So, what's your story?" He asked me. "What do you mean, my story?" I asked him in a really confused voice. "You know, your life. What's your life story?" He asked me once again. "Well, this will take a while." I giggled and looked at him. "I have time." He said, moving his food away from him to lean forward on the table and listen to me as I told him about me and my family.
