I lied there. Frozen. Motionless and breathing heavily. "It's just a nightmare." I'd whisper to myself. "Just a nightmare.". I dragged myself off of my bed. "Ugh..." I groaned, moving toward my closet. I opened the closet doors and picked out sweatpants and a baggy hoodie. I walked to the door, down the hall and into the kitchen. My aunt was standing at the kitchen counter. A note was sitting flat in front of her. I walked around and her peeked over her shoulder. The note said... "I'm not dead... I'm just hidden. Do not try to find me. When and if I am ready, I will present myself to you. I creep along the shadows, waiting for that moment. No need to fear, I'll always be here beside you every step of the way. - Anonymous.". "Who..." I stuttered over my words and started to breathe heavily. I saw a shadow pass the window and a breeze come over my shoulder. I turned, looked around, and turned to face my aunt. She was crying with her hands over her face. "It's going to be ok, auntie." I hugged her in my arms and sighed heavily. "Who could this be?" She groaned. "I don't know... But we'll find out.
