JYP International Preparatory High School is a private, high-ranking, specialized institution that had built a reputation for itself as one of the most successful high schools in the world. It was built on a private peninsula where Navy Pier used to be, putting it in a scenic location on the lake. and various offices including financial aid, office of student engagement, etc. Students were housed in three story apartment complexes that were placed right at the end of the drive and were built to contain kitchens, unisex bathrooms, study rooms, a mini-workout studio and a center "family room" where students could gather for communal bonding experiences.

Due to the massive success of alumni, the institution had a huge endowment fund that allowed the school to remain a modern, leading institution in a variety of fields. Equipped with all of the latest technology, highly educated staff members, and generous financial aid options, the amount of applicants increased as the news of the school's success circled around the world. The school only accepted students that were deemed "uniquely gifted" in their particular skill set, taking in around 100 students each academic year. Each person that was accepted was put into a program that would hone in on their talents, train the students to "perfection" and help them graduate with enough credits, resume experience and talent for the student to continue a world-class education in the college of their choice.. Even though the programs were extremely rigorous, the institution still had a graduation rate of 98%, with 100% of the students going into college.
While the students mostly focused on studies, the school also offered extracurricular excursions on the weekends for the students to get off campus and enjoy the city of Chicago. Buses were hired to take students to concerts, Six Flags, museums, tours, etc.. These stress-reliever field trips were the highlight of the students' week and, usually, JYP campus was dead quiet on a Friday night after classes finished. Most students enjoyed their weekend nights off in the city, going to parties and causing general, high school mayhem. This particular Friday, however, marked the first Friday after Red Dragon's passing. This is where the real story begins...
