There seemed to be a glitch and this story disappeared but here it is again!

I followed him inside the restaurant. The lighting here was darker than the morgue and I followed closely behind him so I didn't accidentally knock over something.

"This is your booth here." the waiter showed us the a far table, where a woman was already waiting. She looked up, her perfectly curled hair framing her face.

"Michael!" she smiled standing up, her body reaching her full height which was nearly as tall as Michael. "It's so nice to finally meet you." She stepped out of the booth and gave Michael a very tight hug.

"Likewise." he said.

"Please, be seated." She waved towards the chairs as she got in. Michael scooted in and then looked up at me "Oh." and then he moved in more so I could squish in next to him. He shivered as my cold air would have brushed him, that was the downside of being invisible he could feel me there but no one else could.

"Move in a bit more."

"No. I don't want to sit closer to her."He whispered.

"Sorry what did you say?" she leaned over

"Bluetooth sorry. Just ending the call now." Michael said giving me a pointed look. I rolled my eyes. "Ask her for her name."

"Oh yeah, um, sorry what was your name again."

"Heidi. I take it your mum didn't give you a full run down like mine did." she giggled tossing her curls over her shoulder, exposing the skin under the tight green dress that was barely held up by spaghetti straps.

"No she didn't I only just found out about it so I apologise for being late." Michael ran a hand through his brownlocks again, his right leg bumping up and down.

"What a gentleman." I nodded smiling.

Heidi reached for the menu the same time Michael did, their fingers brushing, "Aw cute." I said.

Michael just frowned letting her take the menu and leaned back, "Go for it." he said as she apologised and tried to give the menu back.

I looked around at the other tables, there was delicious looking food everywhere. The table next to us were having what looked like a slab of meat and vegetables, covered in potatoes.

"I'm so hungry now." I said. Michael looked over at me, "I won't eat obviously." I said quickly.

"Um Michael?" Heidi asked, "Did you want to order?"

There was an awkward silence again between them as they just looked at each other, "Ask her something." I said.

"So uh Heidi, what do you like doing in your free time?" Michael asked reaching for his glass of water.

"Um I don't know what do you mean."

"When you're not at work."

"Oh," she covered her mouth as she giggled, tossing those curls once again over her shoulder, "I'm alway busy. I like to hang out with friends and go to brunches and dinners.I've very social. What about you?"

"Oh definitley not the social type." Michael said slouching slightly in his seat sighing, I watched him look at his phone on his leg.

"Give her your attention!" I scolded him. Michael gritted his teeth but looked up, "I sometimes watch movies."He said.

Heidi nodded, "What do you do, for a job?"

"I'm a Federal Detective,"

"So is that like the police."
