Me: Good so far! No secret rooms or anything yet. We'll find it though.
Kait: Where could they be?
In case you guys are dense and don't know what we're talking about, we're hunting for the special daggers that we talked about earlier. We're now level 40 and we've caught the attention of a guild. We haven't been invited yet, but they'll put us in when they're ready.
Me: This is the third dungeon we've searched! Where could they be?
Asuna: According to the Info Brokers, this dungeon should be the one, as stated by the pictographs. Maybe you just aren't looking hard enough.
Kait: Hold on... is that... I SEE IT!
She sees what seems to be a glowing area in the rock wall. We walk up to it and press on it. In an instant, the rocks move out of the way and we are looking at two pairs of daggers sitting on some rocks. It's unknown if there are any other combatants nearby, but we go into Stealth just in case.
Me: Asuna, stay back and protect us. We'll be gone only for about 4-5 minutes, but we still gotta be careful.
Asuna: Alright... be careful now.
We walk in the room and check out the blades on this rock. They're protected by a dark barrier, preventing me from seeing them properly.
Me: These are the ones... whichever ones they are.
We reach for them but the barrier doesn't allow us through. Then a voice surrounds us.
???: You've come to claim these ancient artifacts of battles untold... I cannot allow you to grab them without a test however. Defeat these creatures while only using daggers, and I may consider you both worthy.
I hear a massive roar from behind us, as well as a lot of foot falls. We quickly draw our daggers and get ready. We see a load of mobs come for us, from zombies to mech thingies.
Me: Let's go!
We use any abilities we have to destroy these things. Mutilate, Envenom, Kidney Shot, Rupture, the whole shebang. Eventually, everything died out and we were left alone with about 60% of our health. What a gamble.
Me: Hey! You okay, Asuna?!
Asuna: Yeah!! Did something happen?
Me: We were assaulted by about 100 mobs! We're good though!!
Asuna: Oh! Okay... well... they actually didn't come from this entrance though...
Me: Strange.
The voice comes back to us.
???: Nice work, Rogues. Now, go claim what is yours.
We go back to the rock that had those daggers and see that the dark barrier disappeared. I finally get a good look at the daggers and I see that they're our second favorite pair of daggers.
