I Sit and Look Out

I look out to the world that was so sweet

Remembering the joy I used to see

Now the world has turned bitter

What do I see? What do I see?

School shootings, suicides among our teens

Losing jobs, and financial crisis

Families losing homes even their children

Walls built up high, families divide

People judging others culture, belief and color

Posterity being infected with this world's past

The generation that has not come- lives limited because of abortion

The way people handle the stress and pain

Drugs, alcohol, suicides call me insane

My America should be peace and joy

My America- where is the change we need to see

Our hope is within- our country starts with me
