Chapter One

The Backstory

My whole life I've been "special". Special in the way like people avoided me because they

knew what I was going to do. Special in the way that I had a huge popular status until I started to

ignore people I believed to be fake. Which was almost everyone, except Jason.

And I've always known.

I was created to end the world.

My best friend kept my head on right, actually he's the only one who kept me here in the first

place, he's saved my life so many times its stupid, but then again it's kind of his job. Jason was my

Guardian, the only person I've literally known since my birth. When I was a kid I used to imagine

however very few families know that the chosen fetus isn't picked, it is already written in the skies.

The conspiracy was told to be the nobles way of letting the underclass have a faint hope that

their child could be the chosen human.

Although my race isn't exactly human.

In fact, I think that we are barely considered humanoid. We look similar to humans, our hair

is different colors and our eyes are range from blue to brown like humans. But every one of us has

a permanent tattoo.

An intricate tattoo swirled and almost a metallic tint to them, but unlike human tattoos that

have to be inked on, ours occur naturally. When we finally come into our souls our bodies go

through an intense process called The Becoming, this is when our tattoo forms. The designs
