Chapter 20: The Love He Wanted

3RD PERSON POV
"Alright, how much now?" The queen asked her daughter, dissapointed.

She looks at her with a bored expression.

"10, 980.." She said, looking down at her wounded wrist because of the cuff.

The Queen click her tongue for knowing the counts of the pain her daughter faced. She turned her back against her, before leaving the cell room, she narrowed her eyes on her punisher, somehow she knows what the queen means. The Punisher, Kiara, pulled the chains to make the cuff holds her tighter. She started to slash the whips faster on Yumi's back. The elf princess did nothing but screams in pain. Her cries were echoing on the walls.

Levi was somehow outside, clenching his fist while gritting his teeth. Eyes narrowing on Yumi's tears which he don't wanna see it.  He never wanted to see his princess in pain,  but what is this now? He can't do anything, or else it gets worst if he gets in the way.

"That counted 11, 000." Kiara said and touched her chin. "The Punishment is over, Eleven Thousand scars on your body is the first punishment a royal could have, But Im glad you made it this far, Im somehow impressed." Her voice went deep. The tap of her heels echoed and then leaves. Yumi felt hopeless and weak. She groans in pain and fell down to her knees, before she could hit the ground, Levi caught her wounded body in his arms. Her blood never stop from bleeding as her vision became blurry. Only Levi's raven eyes met her green one. She chuckled at her situation.

"Something Never Change.. heh." Her raspy voice said then looks down at her knees. "My bad."

"Stop talking, I'm taking you to your room." Levi said then carries her into a bridal style and walks to her room. The maids looks pity  on her now, But Yumi choose for not minding them and close her eyes to rest. Levi secretly narrowed his eyes on Yumi, the wounds might create a scar on her body. That shows the first punishment.

He lay her body gently to bed then removed his white gloves and placed it behind the lampshade. He searched for a warm water and soft towel. After that, he start to wipe the blood away from her sleeping face. As Levi kept wiping, the more he wanted to stay on her side. He stared at her soft face, sleeping like an angel.

"Why? Yumi.." Levi muttered, keep wiping her face. "Of all guys, why him?"

Levi loved Yumi since the day she helped him. But knewing Levi, he kept his feelings as secrets. Admiring secretly the princess of elves. He can't help but kept falling in love on the person who cannot love him back. Everytime she smile, the world stops to spin and it felt like there are thousands of butterfly inside his belly. The sound of her voice was like a goddess speak, her eyes sparkling, more attractive than a shooting shiny stars. She was perfect for him, but was he too for her?

After knewing the relationship between her and Vegeta, Levi felt nothing but... betrayed. The person he ever admired is now gone to love someone else. He felt anger towards the Saiyan prince. He don't want to create a scene so he decided to ignore and stay away from Yumi. But the more he ignore her, the more he starts to miss her. Thats why he choose to let her go for her own happiness than forcing to stay by his side.

"Sir Levi?" A maid's voice appeared outside behind the door.

"What?"

"The Warm Water You requested is here." She answered.

"Put it in here." He command, the sound of the door open. He didnt look at the maid, his eyes were stuck on Yumi.

"I'll be going now." The maid said then walks outside. Levi cleaned the towel then grab the extra one, washing it through the warm water, then wiped Yumi's arms again. He sigh. Kissing her palm, closing his eyes.
