3RD P.O.V.
It was a Monday, the worst day of the week for almost all students.
The alarm went off and Jungkook had to get ready for school.
Great, he thought
People often tease him for having glasses and and good grades. Do some people really think that that working hard to get good grades automatically means that that's the reason people have glasses? In this case, yes, that's the reason Jungkook has glasses but that's not the case for everyone.
What's wrong with wearing glasses to help you see? There's many other reason as to why someone needs glasses. It's not just because of studying too hard. And what's so uncool about being smart and studying? Shouldn't that be cool? Why do some people think being dumb is cool? I don't know about you, but I'd like to be smart and get through life, then be "cool" and stuck.
He chose not to change his glasses with contact lenses because of two reasons.
Number one is, he didn't see why he needed to switch from glasses just because some people couldn't mind their own business. The glasses were on his face, it didn't grow arms and legs to walk over to someone else's face, punch the person, and stay on their face.
Number two is, he was scared of putting on contact lenses...
And even if Jungkook wears glasses because he works smart, he shouldn't get teased for it. Seriously? Who deserves to get teased for working hard and trying to graduate in a couple years?
Maybe he gets teased for working so hard when his family is already rich?
But maybe they should understand Jungkook is working hard because he wants to stand on his own two feet?
We should stop stereotyping rich people. Yes, there are some lazy, selfish rich people, but there are also some people who worked hard to get the riches they have now.
We shouldn't stereotype all types of people so much.
And here you are reading a somewhat stereotypical story of a rich nerd and a rich playboy.
Oh the irony..
And just because he works hard for those grades everyone wishes to get, doesn't mean he likes to to study all those things teachers claim to be useful. He just likes the feeling of seeing an "A+" on the test papers and final grades he spent his brain cells for. He liked the reward.
But he's not like some of those smart people who cry their heart out when they get an "A" on their paper instead of a perfect "A+".
He simply tells himself that at least it's above average, at least he'll be able to graduate with that grade if he keeps it up. He tells himself that he worked hard. He did his best. He studied to the point his brain could take him. He didn't overwork himself and that's all that matters.
If he overworked himself it would do the opposite of what he's intention was. If he exhausted his brain, it wouldn't function well enough to earn him some nice grades.
Yeah, you may think why aren't they proud of they're grade if it's just one point away from perfect? Simply, they aren't used to it. And most of them don't think: well, at least it's higher than what the rest of them earned.
They think, why did I get a lower grade than the score I get usually?
And don't even get me started on how some kids think that their teachers are failing them. No, you're failing your self. You're not trying enough. They don't fail you, they don't give you a bad score, you earn the grades you receive. They just mark your papers to see what you you got right and wrong.
When your teacher actually marks the right answers wrong on purpose and doesn't teach, just sit while using their phones, that's another story. Although it does happen very rarely.
If your grades are under average, but you tried your best, then the sentence, "You're not trying enough", in the paragraph above doesn't apply to you for an obvious reasons. You tried your best. Be proud and don't pressure yourself. Take a break and try again. Don't lose hope and you'll get there. If you don't, then know that it wasn't in you hand, so don't blame yourself. Having hope might get you there, it also might not. But losing hope all together is removing all your chances of getting there.
I'm not saying just have hope and sit there doing nothing else. Remember, being smart isn't always gifted. Sometimes you have to work for it. Try your best and don't over work. Take breaks.
Anyway, he stayed in his bed for a little more before opening his eyes and siting up.
It was 6 in the morning.
He stared out the bedroom window. It was a beautiful view. The sun was slowly emerging from the horizon.
He got up, struggling to not go back to his soft matress, but reminded himself that he had school.
Jungkook brushed his teeth, took a warm shower, and dressed himself up in a cute baby blue hoodie and black skinny jeans.
Right after he put on his glasses he heard his mom scream, "BREAKFAST IS READY, SWEETIE!" from downstairs.
Jungkook frowned and pouted at the word "sweetie", but jogged down the stairs anyways.
He seriously didn't like the word "sweetie". It sounds way too similar to the word "sweaty".
Jungkook P.O.V.
As soon as I went down the stairs, I could smell the delicious sent of the blueberry pancakes that my beautiful mom made for me and my sister. There was also a cup of banana milk next to my plate like usual.
I never get tired of it and I don't know why some people don't like it. I guess opinions are opinions. They aren't spreading false information about something. They're just having their opinions. But wording it wrong and saying it to someone offensively, is not the way. It's not like I'm forcing them to drink it.
Lisa noona and I finished our breakfast at the same time. She finished school last year so the only reason she goes to school with me is to make sure that I make it to school safely.
I got my backpack from the front door, bid my mom a "goodbye", hopped inside the car and waited for noona.
I plugged in my earphones in my ears and listened to my favorite song called, "Rewrite the Stars".
🌹
When we were there, I got out of the car and the last thing I heard her say before giggling is, "Stay safe and tell me if I have to beat up anyone after school for you!" before I shut the door. I smiled and waved my sister goodbye.
I knew she as half joking when she said that so I didn't take it too seriously. Although, I don't mind having her as my personal bodyguard.
She only said it to lighten up my mood because she knows I get picked on sometimes.
Why don't I tell my teachers and principal about it?
Well, I did and they said that it hasn't gone to the point where they can take actions.
I get that, but shouldn't they take some actions as a warning for bullies before they take it to the extent?
Anyway, I turned around when I saw her wave back.
I grinned to myself. I swear my noona is the best sister in the whole entire world. Who said you have to be related to be family? Family isn't only blood. It's much more than that.
With that thought in my head, I entered the school building and started walking straight down the main hallway.
While I was walking down, I accidentally bumped into someone, and that someone is.......
