"Do you ever think about living longer? Or maybe forever? What about a cure for cancer? Sicknesses? Diseases? Maybe even a mental disorder? Well, when I'm in office, I can make those things come true. And that's a promise." Candidate, Hunter Crimson, announced on a public campaign. "I promise not to let you down my fellow Nation." He said with almost a chilling smile. Pretty soon, everyone was talking about him. Sure everyone in the last office has tried to find a cure for cancer. But eternal life is what caught everyone's attention. Especially since scientists backed him up.
"The human body can live for approximately 79 years. Nowadays we can get up to 100. But with new technology, that will could be funded by Crimson, it will make those numbers even larger. And, we can make sure aging slows down. We plan to span the life of a human 100 years longer! imaging living 200 years with out any problems. Aging won't be a problem either. You could achieve a great life. You'll get to see your great great great GREAT grandchildren!" Harold Huffman spoke to help gain viewers. he showed all sorts of graphs, charts, and research. He spoke in almost every campaign that Crimson spoke in.
Harold was a well-known scientist who was only 35. His hair was dyed half white and half black, or so he says. In reality, he was in an experiment accident, leading to his hair to change colors. As well as his eyes. His right eye was a beautiful violet color. It looked as if someone had placed a dropped of purple paint in it. His left eye, on the other hand, was a mixture of greens. It looked as if a marble acted as his iris instead of an actual human one. His voice wasn't deep like most men, but a sweet British accent replaced the deepness and brought to music to most ears. Harold wore the iconic lab coat which, was always covered in some questionable substances. He had some scars on his hands that were covered by black gloves.
Though he was a good scientist, and was able to prove almost all of his work, he wasn't trustworthy. He hid so many things. In fact, he had his own lab with a whole bunch of mutants, cures and unknown species. All located in cost of California and Crimson was going to make Harold even richer with more experiments.
Hunter Crimson got most of the electoral votes during the election and most civilians votes. He was against a candidate that wanted to end poverty and homelessness in the nation, and another who wanted to help those in need with education. But, people decided they wanted eternal life. They cared more about cures and living forever instead of helping out those who are truly suffering. Crimson won the election. On his inauguration, his speech was inspiring to those who were blinded by his lies.
"I will make the world a better place as I promised. I will help get the cures to once incurable diseases and sickness. What is closet to a human species is a human itself. So, we will start by testing as soon as some subjects are obtained. Today marks the new era of time. History is going to be remade! Starting with one you. My nation, If you are willing to contribute you're lives to my studies of Ultra-lyfe, (pronounced Ultra life) then you are more than welcome to volunteer. " Everyone roared with joy, unaware of how Crimson was going to actually get test subjects and get the cures to these diseases.
"Something doesn't seem right about this man." Jac Ruckus commented as he watched the inauguration. Jac isn't a typo by the way, his parents thought it'd be a great idea to give him a "unique" name. But he liked to go by Ruckus, since to him, his last name was more unique than his first. "This dude is going to start the zombie apocalypse." He snickered. Ruckus was a normal 21-year-old Asian male, with dark brown wavy hair and dark brown eyes. He was thin and tall but, was decently strong for his body type. He lived in the big city of Los Angeles in a small cozy apartment with his dog, Stealth. Which he found himself talking to most of the time. "Well guess it's going to be the end of the world, right bud?" he pets Stealth on top of his head. "Alright, I need to get going now. Money isn't going to make itself."
Ruckus pets Stealth's head one last time and left for his job. Until he finished college, he was working in a small music store. And it wasn't far from his apartment, so he skated there to save money on gas. He put on his helmet and jacket, then made his way out. Ruckus decided to go through a quiet neighborhood to see if it was a faster route. He went onto the street and hummed along to his music that he had to play through his headphones. The day was clear and nice for a January morning. Usually it was freezing. The skies where a beautiful blue and Ruckus took it in all as if it was the last time he would ever see it again.
He noticed a van was coming through, so he moved back onto the sidewalk. The van stayed near, driving close to him. Ruckus wasn't really paying attention. The window slowly rolled down. A man in white pointed a dart gun at him and shot Ruckus in the neck. The force knocked him off the board and onto the ground. He was confused at the sudden act. He realizes he's been shot with the view of the pistol and the sharp pain in his neck. "H-Help! Someone! H-help..." Ruckus began to drift off into a deep sleep. The strange men quickly picked Ruckus up and all his belongings, then put him in the van. He would be unconscious for a good 5 hours.
"Okay boss, we got subject 128594. We're bringing him to the faerie right now." One of the men spoke into a speaker in the van. "Perfect! hurry now. Don't keep me waiting. I have the procedure ready for him-" An anonymous man on the other side let out a cackle before hanging up. Off they went. Crimson never specified if the test subjects were all going to be volunteered. He was going to get most of his subjects by force. If people agreed to it or not. Ruckus was only the fifth person to get captured. There were many more to count. Mostly illegals, people with no family, and youngsters would be taken. These kidnappings would be covered up by the government. Meaning the only way out was to escape, but even then, Ruckus would be living a life of crime on the run.
