That's it, that was the last box. I had just finished unpacking all of my stuff. I looked around my new room proud of my hard work. My room looked great it had teal walls with hardwood floors. I walked down the stairs to check on my mom. "Do you need any help mom?" I asked. "No honey I got this. I'm almost done anyways. You should go take a look around town." She suggested. It actually wasn't a bad idea. "Can I take Walle with me?" I asked my mom. Walle is my 10 year old German Shepard. "Yeah of course." my mom said from under the kitchen counter. I grabbed his blue leash and left. As I walked off my front porch I took in the neighborhood. All of the houses were white and clean. North Carolina was nothing like London. I walked down the sidewalk with Walle. I looked around and saw two little girls around the age of 7 playing on their lawn. They looked like sisters. I watched them run around laughing. I wonder what its like to have a sister. I'm an only child and it gets kind of lonely.

Today was the first day of school and I was very nervous. I was waiting at the bus stop for my bus to pick me up any minute. I sat on the bench as the wind blew through my naturally wavy hair. A few kids of varying ages were also waiting around the bus stop talking and laughing to each other. They looked happy. Maybe I'll be happy here too.  I don't know anyone here. I wish Samantha was here right now. She would make jokes and tell me everything would be okay. Samantha was my best friend back in London. I really miss her. I hear the squeak of the bus' breaks. I got up on walked on I took I seat towards the back where other high schoolers were. I saw this very pretty girl with brown hair whisper to her friend and point at me. I guess it wasn't normal to have new students in the second semester. I put in my earbuds and put on some music. My favorite song popped up on Spotify. Terrible Things by Mayday Parade flowed through my earbuds. I bobbed my head to the slow calm tune and mouthed the words. This song is amazing. I felt someone sit beside me in my seat. I opened my eyes to see a boy with ashy blond hair and crystal blue eyes the color of the sky. I took out my earbuds. He looked me up and down studying me. "I haven't seen you before are you new?" he said with a southern accent. He was amazing. "Yeah um today's uh my first day." I said. He looked surprised when I spoke. "You're British!" he said. Oh that's why he looked confused. "It would appear so." I said obviously amused. He gave me a million dollar grin. His teeth were white and slightly crooked. He was gorgeous.  "I'm Liam. What's your name." He asked me still smiling. If everyone at school is as nice as him it won't be too hard to make friends. I felt myself calm down.  "I'm Luna Grace." I said. "Luna Grace." he said testing the words on his tongue. "I like it. It's different like you." he said sounding genuine. "Is that a good thing?" I asked "Definitely, we could use different at our boring cliche school." he said smoothly. Flashing me another charming smile. Causing me to smile back. I felt the bus come to a stop. I guess this is it. Liam and I said goodbye and got off. I watched him run off and meet up with a couple other boys his age. I nervously walked off of the bus taking in the school. I saw hundreds of kids walking and talking. I walked up the stairs and entered the school. I felt a lot of eyes on me as I walked into the office. "Luna Grace Bennett" I said to the lady behind the desk. "Ah yes Luna how nice to see you. Here is your schedule and locker number." she kindly said handing me a piece of paper. I quickly thanked her and walked out of the office reading my paper. I was locker number 14. I roamed around aimlessly looking for my locker when I saw a girl with hot pink hair run up to me. "Hey you're the new girl right?" she said cheerily. I simply nodded. "That's awesome I'm Ruby." she said with a smile. I already liked her. Her smile was contagious. She was a ray of sunshine.  "I'm Luna Grace." I said back. "Luna that's a really pretty name. I love it." She said happily. "Do you need help finding anything?" she asked. This girl was so sweet. This place is nothing like my school back in London. "Actually yeah. Do you know where locker number 14 is?" I asked. "Yeah it's right down the hall." She said pointing. I thanked her then went to find my locker. After messing with the shitty lock for a minute I finally got it open. I didn't have any books to put in it yet so I just closed it and wondered around looking for my homeroom.
