Chapter 5; Soft Embrace

  

     It was later in the day, you had fallen asleep on the couch a couple hours ago. Still asleep the house was silent. No one was home, not even your dad who rarely ever left the damn house.

    You started to regain consciousness. Your eyes slowly opened, strained from the lamp beside you. You lifted your arm and rubbed your face trying to wake yourself up. You were in the living room, it was cold, small, and empty. The yellow stained walpaper was peeling off of the wall, causing small flakes to appear on the the old creaky wooden floor.

    The faintest sound of rustling came from the kitchen. You stopped rubbing your eyes and tried to focus on the strange noise being emitted from the other side of the house. It grew louder and louder untill it came to a halt. You looked around the room, curious of what the sound was and what it was coming from.

    Finally you made a decision, to go check it out. You slowly stood up from the couch tip-toeing ever so slightly trying not to make too much noise. You made it to the edge of the hallway. Looking to the left you saw the doorway to the kitchen. The anticipation got the best of you and you speed walked to the kitchen. You peered inside, there was no one. You pulled your head out of the kitchen and back into the hallway. What was making that noise? You thought to your self.

    You took one step backwards, "thump." You hit something, or someone. Your eyes grew wide, you jolted away turning around "AHHH!!" You screamed in fear. You looked up only to see Nny. Your fear melted into embarrassment. "W-what are you doing here Nny?" You stuttered. Nny let out a small giggle. "Just stopped by to see you of course. You seem so freighted, how come?" You stared into his eyes stupidly for a few seconds giving him a look saying "seriously?".

    "You can't just break into someone's house and than scare them." You said grumpily. "Well sorry. So, what were you doing?" Nny asked nervously. "Nothin, just sleeping. The better question is what were YOU doing?" "What do you mean?" You rolled your eyes and came closer to him. "I heard you rummaging through something."

    Nny was sweating and looked a bit scared. Wow, a first.

    "Rummaging? What do you mean rummaging? Ha! I wasn't going through anything." Once again you have him the look. "Okay okay, I was curious so I did a bit of searching through the house, BUT nothing too serious to worry about. So what have you been doing?" You sighed.

    "I was asleep until you woke me up, but it's fine, if I slept any longer I will never fall asleep tonight." You turned away from Nny and walked into the kitchen. He slowly followed behind you, his tall body towering over you. You were blushing a bit, just the thought of Nny being in your house again made butterflies flutter in your stomach. You looked at him out of the corner of your eye, he was fiddling with his fingers nervously.

    You turned back to him, hopping onto the kitchen counter behind you. "Tap tap." You patted the countertop inviting him to sit next to you. He gave you a flustered grin and than toon a seat. It was rather akward, the tension building up in the room. You finally built up the courage to do something, something you never thought you would ever do.

    You lifted your arm bringing it to Nny's face, leaned in closer, and planted a kiss on his cold pale lips. He instantly turned red bringing his hand to his mouth, running them. "W-what was that for?" He asked. "I don't know. Just wanted to try something."

    Nny's face went from flustered to a bit creepy. A twisted smiled stretched across his face as his eyes bore into the floor. Turning to you he quickly grabbed your face smashing your lips onto his. Not for a second pulling away. Your eyes grew wide but than slowly shut as you melted into the kiss. "Mmmhnn." You groaned softly.

    You put your hands on his chest and pushed away from him. You took a deep breath, looking down and than back at Nny. You have him a smile causing him to do the same. You quickly came closer pulling him into a hug. The embrace made You both feel happy. "I-i love you, you know that right?" You whispered into Nny's ear. "Yes, and I love you too."

    The hug lasted for at least 3 minutes until you heard a car pull into the driveway. "Oh shit!" You yelled pulling away from Nny and ran across the kitchen. Nny was left all by himself.

    You ran to the window to see your mom, dad, and Squee making their way towards the front door. You ran back to the kitchen. Nny was still in the same spot he was when you left him. "I'm so sorry but you have to leave, my parents are home. If they find out someone else was in the house they'd kill me." You said to Nny. He hopped of the counrer, as he walked past you he grabbed your wrist leading you to your room.

    He entered the room bringing you to the window. He opened it and looked back at you. "I can't wait to see your face again." He said smiling. Blush gathered on your cheeks as you nodded your head. Nny hopped out the window gracefully, landing in the grass.

    You heard the front door open, the rest of your family walking into the house. Their footsteps could be heard through out the whole building. 

    I can't wait to see Nny again. You thought to yourself.

    You walked to your door closing it and than collapsed onto the cold mattress laying on the floor.

    The only thing you could think about was him.

    A/n; WOAH, that took me so long to write this little chapter even though it sucks. 😅
