Ch. 12

She looked at the picture one last time then followed me over to the couch, "I love the style of this place. It's old, calm, and relaxing." She sat down on the couch, "I can understand why you guys like it here." 

I looked at her, "Use to like it here... I'm the only one who still comes here. I'm the only one who seems to care about this place anymore." 

"What do you mean?" She asked me as she looked up at me.

I sighed, "This pack isn't any of our first packs. Channie Hyung made this pack. It started with Him, Minho hyung, and Changbin Hyung. They all met their mates and they all stayed here. I met them after I got kicked out of my last pack... They took me in even though I was still a little pup. I was a lot back then and I still am. Then Minho hyung found Hyunjin. The only person who knows what happened to him is himself... Minho hyung is the one who knows the most about him too. He doesn't even know what happened to him. He was happy to be with us. Like in that picture. He was happy... He was willingly smiling. But he got worse. Day by day. It was to the point he fought with everyone, he snapped at one thing said wrong... The thing that makes it sad for me is I could hear him cry himself to sleep... I heard a lot of them do that until we made this our pack. We call ourselves Stray Kids," I let out a little laugh, "Get it?"

Jomi looked at me and she looked like she was conflicted about what to say, "So what changed Hyunjin?"

I smiled, "Seungminnie Hyung. He came to our school about a week ago. He was mysterious... But none the less he was our savior. Especially Hyunjin's. He made it so we got to see him smile again. He made us happy again. He reminded us of our past when we had nobody. He reminded us what love and family and friendship is really about. I honestly don't think Hyunjin would have lasted any longer if he didn't show up. Like I said before, Hyunjin is a confusing guy. We don't know anything about his past, but one thing for sure is he was broken and torn and just wanted to give up and let go of everything. I hate to say this but if Seungmin didn't show up Hyunjin wouldn't be here. If Seungmin didn't show up, I wouldn't be here with you right now. I owe a lot to Seungmin, and Channie Hyung. I don't think I would be here if it wasn't for Channie."

"What happened in your past pack.. for them to kick you out?" She asked as she looked at and moved to face me on the couch.

"Let's just say a pack of rouges isn't a way to grow up. My parents weren't the best and when the leader of the rouges we traveled with killed them he decided to let me off... He said that there will be hell to pay if we ever run into each other though." I let out a bitter laugh, "I would like to see what he can do to me now... My hyungs love me more than my parents ever did, more than that stupid pack, more than... I love myself."

She grabbed my hand and looked up at me, "Oppa... I see that you guys are more than just a pack... you're a family. I would love to have that... Yeah, I have 6 other girls and 12 boys but being the youngest and them being all mated, I just got pushed aside... I mean there are 18 people and 19 counting me... I'm always alone, even my brother didn't have time for me. But here recently things have happened, a person is after me... It's scary and now they are protecting me. I'm not used to it and it's weird."

I looked at her, "Who's after you?"

"I don't know if you know him, and I shouldn't even be telling you this, but Yiyang. He's really Noto-" I cut her off

"I know exactly who he is! Who the fuck does he think he is! First I learn that he has threatened Hyunjin because of Seungmin, and now he is also after my Mate!" 

"Wait! What!? That's why he seemed so familiar to me!" She exclaimed as she grabbed my arm, "I need to tell Chanhee! He has been looking for the natural that got away!"
