Home away from home

The plane ride was excruciatingly long. Stopping at Hawaii before another flight into California. My mum and I had travelled quite a fare bit throughout my life so I was some what used to the weird tired feeling you get.
"Look sweetie, our new home" mum spoke breaking the comfortable silence.

"It's huge" I managed to mumble out of my tired mouth. It truly was huge.  Australia's houses were never built that big.  The thought leading to my friends back home and how they were going to be living their lives with me no longer in it. I had cried when they came to say goodbye. I quickly shook the thought out of my head when I noticed my eyes swell with tears. I hated showing my emotions in public. Or just genuinely in front of anyone, even my mum. An announcement played over the speaker from a lady who's voice sounded some what professional. Signalling for a plane to board, mum and I stood up walking towards the air hostess standing in front of the small tunnel that lead to the plane.

I quite enjoyed plane rides. The feeling of being thousands of kilometres in the air. On the other hand, I did not enjoy the food. Sometimes it was decent, and others it had been down right horrible. As I walked onto the plane I quickly counted the seat numbers searching for mine and mums. I stopped when I reached the two window seats that were clearly allocated to us. Pausing when I saw a bunch of dark brown locks just out of the corner of my eye.

"Gemma?!" My mum burst, shocking me so much I slightly jumped.
"Belinda?!" The lady replied just as equally surprised.
"Omg fancy seeing you here!" My mother had said sarcastically.
"Wait you two know each other?" I had said causing the brown haired boy to look up at me.
His eyes were as green as the fields back home. But in the some what shady lighting we were in, it made them mysterious and almost as if he were hiding a secret even if that's not what his expression was saying.
"Gemma and I are good friends sweetie. We will be staying with them until our home is complete" my eyes moved back to the boy next to the window. I had to stay with him for a couple weeks? Interesting

I sat next to the window, just as the boy had been sitting behind me. I pulled out my laptop and opened up the tab that had my Netflix account on it. After some searching I had selected a movie and connected my air pods. Not even listening to the pilot as he laid the rules out after hearing it so many times, I grabbed my neck cushion and placed it behind my neck. After what felt like 30 minutes I felt a light tap on the shoulder causing me to pull an AirPod out of my ear.  As a turned to the right and peeped between the space of the chair and aircraft wall I saw the stunning green eyes piercing through mine.
"Hey I'm Harry, Can I watch with you?" He whispered, as majority of the people were already trying to sleep.
"Oh I'm uh Summer and um, sure?" I said awkwardly.
I made sure to carefully clean the AirPod I had taken out before passing it behind me through the gap.
"Thanks and nice to meet you" he said with a smile. I quickly smiled back before pressing play again.

After the movie had finished I was quite tired. The tap on my shoulder making me turn to face his green eyes to find the boys hand stretched out to pass my AirPod back.
"That was a good movie" he said smiling a little to much.
"Uh yeah it was good" I said grabbing the small white AirPod.
He leant back and slipped his eye mask over his green eyes with me following the action. I closed my eyes thinking about the gorgeous boy behind me.

I had to spend a couple weeks in the same house as him. Just fantastic. I smiled as I fell asleep.
