"Rachel !" I heard my mom call from the lower level of Dana's house . "I guess my moms here ." I told Dana giving her a quick hug before saying good bye and making my way out of her room .
Dana was a complete tomboy , unlike me , but I was never ashamed of my girlie qualities and outlook .
"Oh , wait !" Dana yelled as if I wouldn't actually hear a simple whisper .
"What?" I asked whipping around to see her standing a few feet behind me . " When are you having us over "? . A shiver ran down my spine , I had all my memories from the previous day , Friday .
It was a school day and I had met up with with a few friends at the cafeteria . I'm sure it was Dana , Tori , Faith and Maddie . We started a few side conversations for a bit after eating until Maddie brought up a club . They all knew exactly what she was taking about when the words were spoken .
All looking at me noticing my confused expression , they explained how they made a "scare" club full of scary stories , Ouija board nights , scary houses , and others activities they would take turns hosting .
As my friends , they new me well enough to know I couldn't last listening to any scary related terms , especially what would be going on if I were in this group .
It had only been today that Dana convinced me into trying this by inviting the members of the scare club to a sleepover full of scary stories , but they were needed to be bye me .
"Uh , I'm not sure yet , but I'll be thinking ". Hoping to avoid her suggestions that I knew she would say , I made a run for the stairs.
"Wait , hold on Rachel !"
I heard Dana's running foot steps against the hardwood floor .
I was so close to reaching the stairs until something jumped on my back causing me to fall . "Ha ! Got you !"
I heard Dana cheering while sitting on my back . "Congratulations , now get of me you fatty ". I spat angrily before we both berated into laughs . "Ok , ok". Getting to my feat I turned around with a sigh ready to hear Dana's proud idea .
"I was just thinking that maybe you could do it the coming Friday . It is Halloween so it will be perfect !"
Halloween ? Was she crazy , there was no way a was trading candy for the worst night of my life . Thanks to that thought , I have a very good excuse to have it later . Snapping out of my thoughts I realized Dana had ran to my mom and already told her the idea that had my mom excited . This was really happening .
