Fell was unhappy. He had lived with his brother for as long as he could remember, and you'd think that the reason was cause he was happy, but you'd be mistaken. The only reason he stayed was because he had nowhere else to go.

He would be killed if he left anyways, for in this world it was kill or be killed. Only the strongest survived, and the weak were either killed or pushed aside and left to rot. And Fell, even though he hated to admit it, was weak, both physically and emotionally. Physically, because he had low HP and couldn't do much damage with a single hit. Emotionally, because no matter how hard he tried to, no matter how he pushed his feelings aside, he just didn't have the soul to kill a single monster, and that was considered weak in the underground. Sure, he could beat someone up pretty badly if he tried, but he couldn't make himself finish the job.

Fell was currently at home, in the kitchen preparing himself something to eat. He was actually just reheating a hotdog he had pulled out of the fridge, and he was mostly likely going to put a hefty serving of mustard on it to top it off.

Suddenly the front door was harshly flung open, making a loud thud sound as it swung on its hinges and and slammed against the wall. "H-Holy shit-" Fell yelped, practically jumping out of his non-existent skin from the abrupt sound. Fell put a hand to his chest, feeling his soul beating frantically within.

Carefully, Fell moved towards the entrance to the kitchen and slowly peeked out to see who it was that had made that racket. It turned out to just be his brother, making him audibly audibly sigh in relief. He had feared some monster had broke into the house to steal or pick a fight. These things were actually quite common around here, so you always had to be on edge, even in your own house. Such was life in the underground.

"What's he doing here?" Fell thought to himself after his soul beating had eased. The reason for his confusion was because his brother didn't usually arrive so early. You see, Fell's brother, Edge, as people called him, was a Royal Guardsman. He was second best, right after Captain Undyne herself of course, which meant he would be out all day and come home late at night.

Fell shrugged it off, assuming he might be here to take a break from his duties, and went over to greet him. He didn't even get to say the word hello before he felt the wind knocked out of him. Before he knew what was happening, he was already on the floor.

He looked up in shock, feeling a burning sensation on his left cheek.  His brother was towering over him with an arm raised and and a furious expression on his face, making Fell's blood run cold.

"H-Hey, Boss, w-what's wrong...?" Fell said, his voice cracking as he smiled nervously, having subconsciously raised a hand and placed it on his slapped cheek. "Y-You had a bad day at work, or-" Fell was cut off before he could even finish his sentence when a heeled boot was forcefully jammed into his rib cage, making Fell shout in both surprise and pain.

"SHUT. UP." Edge said roughly, his voice sounding fierce. Fell swallowed back, knowing better than to talk when his brother got like this. It wasn't uncommon for Edge to get home frustrated, and he usually released his anger out on him. Fell had gotten used to it by now, it was more like a daily routine to him. Fell even had various scars and bruises littered around his body from the constant abuse, which he tended to hide since he wasn't too proud of them.

Still, Edge seemed angier than usual today, and Fell wondered what had gotten him to pissed. Perhaps Captain Undyne had given him a particularly harsh talking-to.

"Look at you," Edge scoffed, looking down upon his brother with a piercing glare. "You're an embarrassment. All you do is lounge around all day like the pathetic monster you are. You're useless."
