TOURMALINE
Nightmares. Every night for seven weeks, in a row. Most of you are probably thinking now, what's going on? Well, I'm talking about how I wake every night drenched in sweat, after having visions of me killing everyone I know. And for some reason, in the dream of course, I liked it. So here I am now, looking up at the roof of my room, thinking about what's going on with me. The dreams are always the same.....
'"S-stop Tourmaline! T-this isn't-"but before she could get any further, she was already cut down by my blade, and I laughed as she dripped blood from several areas all over her face. All around us it looked like someone ripped up a painting, set it on fire, and dropped a ton of vomit all over it. Bodies lay torn on the floor, and buildings were crumbling down, crushing anyone who had managed to survive the horror that was me....'
I quickly snapped out of the flashback, scowling to myself about even trying to remember the dreams. After lying in my bed for about ten minutes wondering what was going on, I got up, my red hair blocking my line of sight. I made out the clock, and saw the time. Today was August eighteenth, eight thirty am. And just my luck, the other council members, including me, have a meeting in fifteen minutes. Diamond was going to pound me to a pulp if I wasn't at the meeting on time. "Gem Damn...." I mutter to myself repeatedly, as I run around my loft, getting dressed, eating breakfast, brushing my teeth, fixing my hair, all virtually at the same time. After about five minutes, I burst out the door, my official business robes (and yes, they are unfortunately pink, due to my stone color.... I hate my life sometimes...) flowing behind me, living in the moment, before I run right into every parent's worst nightmare, Citrine. She's about 17, but when you look at her, she appears to be at most twelve. (Most immortals are much older than they appear) she wears an orange sun gown, with her reddish blond hair flowing down to her waist. She looked up at me, a mischievous look in her golden eyes. I was scared to death. "Hey Tourmaline! How's your day going?" she said with her country accent. "Fine, just fine. And you?" "Well, someone made fun of my accent on my way to the coffee shop! I think they're in jail now~" she giggles "whatever..." I sigh, trying to get her to leave me alone. "How are the nightmares anyway?" she asks out of the blue, knowing that it would get me to stumble, and leave me speechless. It did, in case you were wondering. "Who....what.......How....How did you know?" is all I manage to get out of my own mouth, instead of something along the lines of me threatening her, telling her to mind her own business.. "I Know everything!" she whispers, a malicious tone in her voice. We stare at each other for the longest time, until she breaks out laughing. "Kidding, I'm just kidding! You speak while you sleep.....not that I watch you or anything!" she says, a large blush on her face. "Yeah, that's cool and all, but don't we have a meeting to get to?' I stall, attempting to switch topics. "Sure as a hearoth when he finds a pile of galipots fruit!" she says, referring the flora and the fauna of the close by rainforest. "Well, we better hurry, or we're both going to be late!" I say, before running towards the meeting hall. We sprint to the meeting, robes flowing and hitting any unlucky servant in the face, earning both of us a lot of dirty looks. We burst into the council, on the other side of the island, to receive dirty glares from ten other pairs of eyes. "What were you two doing? You're late, eight times this season! What's wrong Tourmaline?" The rant smacks me right in the face, making me growl in retaliation for the embarrassment. "No one can be perfect as you, braniac." I look towards the chastiser, my red eyes staring into ocean green, glasses making his face look much older. He scoffs, "And no one can be as flawed and disobedient as you, Pinky." He snaps, walking back towards his peridot custom throne. . "Listen, cut it out or I'll be forced to break both of your jaws, again." An irritated voice challenges. Amethyst continues. "So how about we actually start this meeting now?" she looks at both Peridot's eyes and mine before relaxing, and signaling for Pearl to begin her speech.
