Prologue

When Julio pulled up outside of Will's house, he couldn't believe it, it'd been raining heavily for a good hour or two by that point; which never happened in L.A. He looked out of his car window and let out an audible 'ugh' sound whilst trying to decide if he should wait out the downpour or brave it...

After a solid ten minutes had passed by of Julio waiting in his car for the rain to stop; he finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't going to any time soon, and that it'd be better to just suck it up and get out of his car. When he got to the door to their apartment though (having ran to it) and knocked, no-one answered. He knocked for a few seconds longer,  but nothing happened. It was at that point he decided that maybe Will was recording and Devon and RJ were out, since Devon was staying with them, and so he tried to open their apartment door.

"What the...Locked?...Are they for real?" Julio muttered to himself confused; Will had said he was staying in today, why on earth was the door locked!? Julio tried again..."Nope, still locked." He confirmed. The next thing he did was call Will because even when he's recording, he has his phone on vibrate in his pocket (Will had told him this previously); Will didn't pick up, even after calling three times; Julio sighed "Fine, I'll try Devon I guess" He said to himself before calling Devon, who also didn't pick up after multiple attempts. 'What the heck? Okay um...think Julio think...' He thought to himself and after a little while, he remembered where Will and RJ kept their spare key, because they left their keys in the apartment once when he'd been out with them. 

Julio retrieved the key and unlocked the door, putting the key back before proceeding to open the apartment door slowly, careful not to startle anyone inside. Once he was inside, he saw Devon asleep on the couch and Dobby asleep on the floor beside him. Julio's heart melted a little at the sight, not much could be cuter than this. "Devon..." he whispered softly once he shut the door. "Devon...??" He said a little louder this time, nudging him gently too; Devon stirred. "Hey, sorry I woke you, but hi..." He said still speaking softly.

"Hi..."Devon mumbled sleepily which made Julio laugh lightly, Devon was extra cute when he was sleepy, though Julio would never admit he felt that way about Devon.

"I can come back later if you want?" Julio suggested, feeling guilty for having woke him. Devon shook his head gently.

"No...come cuddle" Devon instructed which made Julio heart swell a little.

"Okay but first...let me take a selfie!" Julio said mocking the song; which made Devon groan at Julio's terrible reference. Julio took a selfie next to Devon who had the covers pulled over his head. "Okay now we can cuddle" Julio confirmed, putting his phone away and carefully stepping over Dobby. Julio got himself comfy and then Devon snuggled into him, resting his head on Julio's chest and sighing contently. Julio instinctively pulled Devon closer to him and tensed up when he realised that he shouldn't feel so complete while holding Devon is his arms like this. After a few seconds though, his heart won over and he relaxed contently into the embrace. 

A little while later, Julio began to subconsciously run his fingers gently through Devon's hair; Devon responded by mumbling happily and burying his face in the crook of Julio's neck, now fast asleep again. Julio smiled lovingly down at him while still running his hand through Devon's hair. It was at that moment that a realisation hit Julio like a train. He couldn't deny how amazing he felt when he was with Devon, how safe he felt when Devon hugged him or they cuddled or how, even though he liked his girlfriend a lot, he couldn't deny he was falling for Devon and he had been for a while... 'Well, shit.' Julio thought to himself as he processed everything that suddenly made perfect sense to him now.
