it's a warm summer night on the beach
i was sitting alone looking at the waves
when i heard someone walking up to me
breaking the silence with their feet they
sat down next to me
but with a distance between us
i ask them
"why are you out here at this time of day?"
they reply with "i could ask you the same"
i muffle a laugh and look at them
oh how their eyes could kill me
his hair dyed blonde with his brown roots
oh how he looked so good
his tinted red cheeks
with a small black heart by his right eye
his lips were soft and pink
"so what's your name mystery boy?" i ask
"it's noen" he said
"noen eubanks"
"i'm faith" i told him looking up
"faith ross"

"nice to meet you noen eubanks"
"nice to meet you faith ross"

we talked and talked
about random topics all night long
to our interests to our favorite type of author

we didn't even notice that time was flying by
until the sun rose up
we watched the sunrise together
it was getting cold and i didn't plan to stay all night
i was shivering when i felt a warm sweatshirt
slip on me
i looked up at him and i smiled at him brightly
"your smile could light up the whole world"
he told me

"can i give you my number
so we can stay in touch?" he told me while playing with the sand beneath him
