2~ Take it For the Team

~Y/N's POV~

...

There I was, just falling. What could I do? My quirk only works around water, and I can't see any near. I could take moisture from the ground, but I'd have to hit the ground which would hurt or kill me, and that also uses a lot of my energy. I didn't expect my camping trip to end so shortly.

I closed my eyes, expecting a hard thud then my vision going black, but something changed that. I was soon sliding down a cold hill, I opened my eyes to find out the mini slide was made of ice. Turns out I landed on the right angle onto the ice slide, and didn't take all that much fall damage. When I managed to pull my anxious self together, I looked over to the person that helped me. I looked away as I saw the person, Todoroki. I had always had a crush on him, but I'm pretty sure every girl does. Momo probably has the biggest chance with him, since she's rich, pretty, curvy, helpful, pretty much the whole package. All I can do is... pretty much nothing. It doesn't make me that jealous, though. I'd be happy for Momo if she won his heart.

"Thank you..." I managed to mumble. For the first time ever, I could see a glint of worry in his eyes. "Pixie-Bob needs to think before pushing us off a cliff like that," Todoroki said, frustrated. He helped me up, then went over and melted the ice hill, "Use the water from this to your advantage, so you don't nearly die again." I activated my quirk, causing the puddle of water to mold into a tight, small sphere. I held the sphere in my hand as I continued my way with Todoroki by my side.

After some walking, Todoroki and I found Momo, Asui, and Denki fighting off one of the forest monsters. The monster swung it's arm towards the three, hitting Momo and tripping Denki, Asui managed to dodge it. In the raged state I was in, I charged towards the monster, throwing the sphere into the air as it formed into a glassy looking hammer. Hammers are usually the weapons I was best with, since they are easy to make with my quirk. I ran towards the monster and did a double spin before hitting it. The monster was clearly hurt after the hit, but not enough. It used it's leftover strength to hit me, causing me to slam against the tree behind me.

"Y/N!" Momo, Asui, and Denki said in unison. Todoroki didn't say anything and instead, he froze the forest monster by it's feet. Denki took this as a chance, and used his electricity to knock the monster down. I got back up and smiled at everyone, "Thanks Denki. Thank you again, Todoroki." Denki gave me a pat on the back, "No problem, thanks for helping us out, too." Todoroki stayed silent, and just nodded.

We continued our way down the forest, finding more of our classmates along the way. Sero, Mineta, and Kirishima were fighting another one of those annoying monsters. I swung my water hammer behind my shoulder, and knelt down into a running position. Todoroki got an idea of what I was doing and stopped me, "Y/N, no. You can't keep jumping into stuff like this." Well, at least... he tried to stop me. Before he could even finish speaking, I was already charging towards the monster.

Kirishima seemed to be having trouble, as he kept using his quirk to block the monster's hits. I knew he was getting exhausted, so I decided to help. Before the monster could try to hit him again, I turned my solid water hammer into a shield, jumping in front of Kirishima. "You ok?" I asked. Kirishima smiled, "Yeah, thanks!" As I was blocking multiple hits, Sero had managed to use his tape without getting hit. As he was wrapping his tape around the monster and pulling it to the ground, Mineta used his pop off hair to stick the monster to the ground. He was bleeding from using his quirk a little too much, but I was thankful he did that.

Sero came up and gave me a high five, "Way to go! That was smart, Y/N!" Kirishima hugged me, "Thanks for the save. Guess you knew I was getting tired," he chuckled. I looked down and saw Mineta hugging my leg as well, "Well, I couldn't leave y'all in the dirt like that. That would be rude!" After our group hug, we went back to walking through the forest.

Almost there, I thought as I gripped onto my shield. It made me happy to know we had such a big team. Momo, Todoroki, Asui, Denki, Sero, Kirishima, and Mineta. Hopefully we'll find more classmates along the way.

Just as I thought, we found Mina and Tokoyami fighting off another forest monster. The monsters can't get more annoying. Instead of just me jumping into the fight, Asui and Denki also helped. Tokoyami tried fighting off the monster with his dark shadow, but his shadow was pretty timid and was hesitant to fight. Mina was trying to shoot her acid, but the monster was moving too much. I jumped in front of Tokoyami, so he wouldn't have to use his quirk any longer. Asui used her tongue to trap the monster, and Mina was finally able to get a direct hit. She shot acid at the monster's feet, and Asui released the monster as it hit the ground. Denki used his quirk and shocked the monster, as it fell apart. I turned back to Tokoyami, "You alright?" Tokoyami nodded, "I am now, thanks to you."

I went up and hugged Asui and Mina, and high fived Denki. Denki frowned, "No hug for me?" I giggled and pulled him into the group hug, "Hugs are for everyone, you dork." Todoroki broke the warm silence by making an 'ahem' noise. "Oh, right." I said as I pulled everyone else back into the group.

We continued to roam, finding more classmates, fighting more monsters. One monster in specific seemed difficult, since even Bakugou was having trouble with it. "God dammit! Die already!" I heard him shout. My solid water shield formed back into a hammer as I launched towards the monster. Bakugou was shouting at me, telling me he didn't need my help, but I knew him better than that. I almost directly hit the monster in between the eyes, until...

Thud.

I heard my ribs make a weird cracking noise, fearing I had broken them. I saw myself flying across the forest, as shouts of my classmates filled my ears. By the time I hit the ground, the entire class had began charging at the monster. I saw the monster finally meet it's end, just before my vision went black.
