Williams High School, Abandoned, Jackson, Mississippi.
The halls of the high school were dark and quite, except a couple bodies moving in a lit classroom at the end of the hall. Hushed voices can be heard behind the locked door. A tall, lean man with short brown hair spoke urgently to a shorter women with jet black hair, her skin was very pale and her eyes sharp behind her black squared glasses. "Lilith, they will be here momentarily, Do we have the observation tab ready?" his blue eyes turned to look at the young brunette. She wasn't no more than 17 years old. She had brown hair and brown eyes with green rimmed glasses framing her round porcelain face. Fear crossed her face as she rushed to ready the table. She spread a thin white cloth over the cold metal table. She ran around gathering the necessary supplies needed. Placing then next to the side table, the one on wheels next to the observation table. The girl ran over to the multiple lad tables set up in the large room. She arranged laptops she found in the down stairs storage room at the seats. Lastly she grabbed as many textbooks as she could carry and placed them next to the laptops. "Abigail, grab the spell books, I'm going to have to channel you so make sure you have the requirements I asked for." Lilith spoke with such harshness. The small girl ran out the room and down the hall. She pushed open the heavy door to another classroom. There rested the small snake her mother had requested, along side the herbs and bones of a dead man. She rushed to grab everything before running back down the hall where her parents waited. Abigail hurried to the desk in the front of the room, she placed the items around the table. Walking over to the bag in the corner of the room, grabbing her mother's spell book and walked it over to the desk. Silence fell among the room, footsteps could be heard echoing in the halls. Squeaking of wheels reached their ears and filled the remaining silence. The footsteps echoed to a stop in front of the closed door, soon followed by a loud knock. Abigail's father rushed to unlock the door, the door opened to a tall Indian man whos muscles stretched tight under his shirt, which looked close to ripping at the seems. "H-h-hello, I'm Benjamin S-s-smith, I um, y-y-you, uh" Benjamin stumbled over he's words, he shook under the golden eyes of the man before him. "What my spineless husband is trying to say, is come in all of you." a tight smile formed over Lilith's face. The man entered soon followed a small Indian women with long black hair that reached the floor. Her nose had a gold chain linking to her ear, she dressed in a maroon hijab with gold trim and design, her thin arm had gold bracelets halfway up her forearm. Every step she took followed with the jingling of her jewelry and she walked with such grace. " We thank you, um sorry dear but I didn't catch your name?" she spoke with a sweet accent and calmness filled the room. Even Lilith seem to ease under the strange women's voice. " Lilith, this is my husband Benjamin and my only child Abigail." Lilith spoke once again with the bitterness she always spoke with. "Ahh, yes I see." Her voice still calm and soothing as before. "I go by many name in my village, Mother, Bhagavan meaning God or even Rani meaning Queen. But you may call me by my birth name, Nadia." she mentioned toward the Indian man behind her. "He's Ishaan and this is Ansh and Yamini, The Dhār twins. They are our smartest scientist our country can offer. I hope they will be of use to you." Nadia motioned towards the remaining for her people. Everyone's attention drifted to the door as two small children walked in, holding hands. The girl had ice blue eyes and braided hair that fell to her waist and the boy had matching eyes with a unique design shaved into the sides of his head. Abigail lean in just a bit, taking a closer look at the young boys hair. She noticed what looked like ancient ruins not shaved but carved into his skin. They were dressed in tan clothes with pure white lad coats. They looked as if they were playing dress up. The twins walked to the table Abigail had set up previously and immediately got busy with research. Abigail watched as three armed white men rolling a metal table with a black body bag on it entered along with a blonde women dressed in a skirt business suit. She had a sharp nose and a serious resting bitch face. She turned to Lilith, clearly sensing that she was the one to speak any business with. Before Abigail was able to listen in to what this new stranger had to say to her mother, Nadia stepped in front of her. "I sense a darkness coming in your near future." her voice soft barely a whisper. Her golden eyes look deepen with worry. Of what Abigail wasn't sure of, but she whole body became so relaxed at the sound of Nadia's voice. "How do you do that?" Abigail's voice did no good to hide the daze she was in. Nadia placed a reassuring hand on her leg. "Dear, there is a strong force coming. She will wreak havoc a pond the world. But Abigail, sweetheart you have untapped raw and very strong power in you." Nadia began drawing shapes on Abigail's palm, softly muttering a spell. Abigail felt such a tight pulling sensation all over her body, as if something on the inside wanted to break free. Just as soon as the feeling came it went, Abigail felt tired surprisingly unharmed, but on the inside her wrist as an old runic symbol. It glowed a slight white as it burned into her skin. Abigail looked up to speak to Nadia but she was over by the twins when she had just been standing right here. Shaking it off Abigail pulled her sleeve over her new soon to be scar, at walked over to her mother at the front of the room next to the blonde women. "Abigail, meet Ms. Springs with the US Government she's here in relation to our project here." Lilith harsh tone rung out, Abigail's body shook with fear as she hurried over to her mother. Ms. Spring face looked just as mean and spoke with the same amount of bitterness as her mother, "Wasn't aware children are part of this privet matter." Abigail felt her mother glare, deciding rather than face the anger of her mother she'd busy her self with studying alone. She had just got settled down at a table in the corner and turned on her laptop when the door opened, A young girl followed by two young guys in lab coats. Not even bothering with introduction, they hurried right to work at the tables right in front of Abigail. "Wonder if they plan to keep us after the job, it would be so awesome when someone asks us what our job is and we say we work with the government." The girls voice rung with a hint of preppiness. Her brown hair fell in tight curls that bounced with ever move she made. A short boy snickered beside her, "Marybeth, no one finds government jobs cool or interesting at all." his tone was bleak. Standing next to him was a tall, lean guy with black hair, he didn't smile or say anything just gave a quick nod of his head. Sucking her teeth her took the chance to look around the room, Her eyes fell on Abigail sitting behind them head buried in her studies. Marybeth hopped off her bar stool, hair bouncing and made her way over. "Hiya, Name's Marybeth, you must be Abigail?" Her face broke out in a toothy smile. Abigail looked up from the textbook she had been busying herself with at the perky girl in fount of her. "Umm how is it you know my name?" Her voice laced with worry. She scanned the room searching for her mother or maybe even Nadia, they would help if she was in trouble she hoped. "We go briefed on you guys before coming here. I basically know most everyone's name here." She motioned to the group in the room. Abigail felt her body relax and smiled, maybe a friend right now wouldn't be so bad, she thought. She offered the stool next to her, "Would you like to sit down?" smiling at Marybeth. "Of course, us girls gotta stick together don't we." She smiled back. The girls busied themselves into the books and research papers before them, learning as mush as they could before they started. Abigail had just started an article by Hugo Garcia on the undead when Lilith cleared her throat. Grabbing the attention of the room, "If I can have your attention so we may begin." her voice a bitter tone, narrow eyes scanning the room. Her eyes landing on her daughter sitting next to one of the college kids the government hired. Exposable waste Lilith thought walking towards her child, "Abigail." The young girl jumped at the sound of her mother, "Yes, Mother?" Abigail's voice just barley a whisper. Lifting her head, Abigail looked at her mother's face. She always had the same facial expressions, never anything happy for a long as she can remember. "Will you join me at the front of the room?" Her voice laced with hate as she turned back to the front. Wasting no time as to not upset her mother, Abigail jumped off the stool and hurried to the front. "Alright people, I'm Lilith for those of you who don't know and this is my daughter Abigail, we belong to the last known coven in Jackson. As most of you have been briefed today is the begin of something new, with the mix of toady's science and my magic to bring this here John Doe back to the living." Lilith placed a hand on the body laying under the black body bag before making her way back to Abigail. "I believe everyone is aware of their part." Lilith snapped her finger and pointed at the tall college kid who came in with Marybeth, "You, What's your name boy?" He stood looking Lilith right in the eye no hint of fear in him at all "Gabe ma'am." His voice was deep and he spoke with class, he was polished and well kept. You could tell by his body language that he was from a high class society. Lilith had a tight frown on her face looking from Gabe to the other two members of his group. "You're team starts first, remember we are on a time limited once you start you can't stop." Dismissing them with a wave of her hand, causing the college kids to start their work. Turning towards the twins, Lilith just shocked her head insuring the kids knew when to start without even having to speak. Motioning for Abigail to follow her Lilith made her way over to Nadia who stood in the back with Ishaan. " I believe you'll be standing with me along with Abigail and Ishaan of course?" a hint of an almost smile formed on Lilith's face. Abigail thought back to a time her mother was teaching her key important skills to know. She taught her everything she knew about magic and the pain it can cause. But one of her many lessons was "when in a group of strange allies always befriend the witches. We are stronger in numbers than standing alone." This must be why she came off nice, Trying to win Nadia's good side. Abigail zoned back into the conversation unfolding in front of her. "So once the twins finish their ritual we are to preform ours. We are the last step, after that its just a lot of waiting." Lilith wrapped up the game plan, turning her head and glared at Abigail. "As for my daughter she is here just as a channel source, I'll will be need more strength for this spell. Will you be channeling Ishaan?" Looking over at the strong golden eyed man not ever flinching under his ice cold look. Nadia smile brought a wave of ease to spread around the bodies near, "I don't need to channel another spirit of magic, I do in fact teach magic so Ishaan while be performing along side me." She spoke stern but angelic. Marybeth's voice broke through the room, "We have finished our part and the twins have began." Lilith turned to the small girl, a tight frown on her face, "Abigail, let's us begin the first stage." The small girl jumped hurrying her way to the front of the room where her mother had prepared the spell. She turned knife in hand ready for her mother to put her under to channel her magic. Lilith grabbed the knife in her hand, Standing before her small body and began chatting while carving a symbol on Abigail's forehead. Her body relaxed in a sleep state, laying her body down in the salt circle she had drawn on the ground. Lilith turned towards the twins, both nodding letting her know their part is done. Grabbing the small snake in her hand she turned to look at Nadia who linked hands with Ishaan :"Let us begin." The room filled with the chants, a gust of wind filled the room as Lilith took the knife sliding it down the snakes stomach, pouring blood all over the body of the dead John Doe, she grabbed the dust from the grinded dead mans bones and sprinkled it over the snakes blood. The room fell silent, Abigail sucked in a deep breath as she returned from her sleeping state. "Well did it work?" Ms. Springs broke the silence walking towards the body covered in snakes blood and dead man bone dust. "We will be waiting a while until we know" Lilith's voice held anger, she turned towards her daughter. Making her way over to her, she grabbed her thin arms, "Have you been practicing magic behind my back?" Her grip tightened her voice laced with bitterness with each words. Shaking her head "No, Mother. It's one of the rule, would never break the rules mother." Her voice shook as she tried to free herself. "Lies, nothing be lies child. I channeled you, I felt your power, its grown stronger." Her hand gripped harder as she shook the girl. "Please mother, I swear it. You are hurting me." Tears steamed down her face. "She's telling the truth." Nadia spoke. Letting go of Abigail, Lilith turned towards the other witch. "How would you know?" all trace of friendliness gone. "Check her wrist, all I did was preform a simple spell to let her s bit of her powers tobreak free." Her voice sent waves of calmness through the room. Lilith grabbed Abigail's arm once more, yanking her sleeve up she saw the symbol burned into her skin. Turning her full body, Lilith stood before Nadia "You really shouldn't have pissed me off." Lilith face broke into a wicked smile. Nadia stood a few inches shorter than Lilith but her body posture showed who the dominate witch was, standing her ground Lilith challenged Nadia with narrowed eyes. Nadia stood tall golden eyes staring her back, warning her she does not want what will come. Lilith hand raised as black smoked leaked from her palms, lighting crackled in the clouds. Nadia raised her palms, no sign of fear on her smooth skin, a bright ball started to grow in her hand shinning brighter as it grew larger. The room grew silent as the two most powerful women in the room stood weapons drawn. "You don't want this fight Lilith, I beg of you walk away from this embarrassment." Nadia shouted over the sound of the storm brewing in front of her. A wicked twisted laugh left Lilith's widen mouth, "I never stand down to a witch fight." She spoke as if this was her younger years, bullying the toughest of witches at her high school only to lose. Lilith's hand raised as her black smoke hardened into dagger hanging in the air. "So lets play." Her voiced was laced with coyness and in one swift movement her daggers soared though the air towards the small women. Nadia slide to the side, the daggers barely missing her cutting into her check. As she swiped the blood that dripped, Lilith prepared her next move. She waved her hand, calling the daggers to spin and head straight for Nadia's back. Pulling at the glowing ball with both palms, Nadia projected a wall of glowing pale light disintegrating the daggers as they hit against it. Moving back to face Lilith, a golden whip formed in Nadia's hand. Bringing her arm up she snapped the whip forward, wrapping its way around Lilith thin neck. Abigail jumped towards her mother, "Mother" her voice rung out. Ishaan wrapped his arms around her small frame, "Don't interfere. It's not safe." His voice was deep and grainy. He was warm and made Abigail feel safe, she turned her head into his broad chest not wanting to see the battle unfolding. Turning her away from the fight, Ishaan watched as Nadia brought Lilith to her knees, her small hands pulling at the power holding her neck in its tight grip her black clouds gone. "Even your dark magic is no match for mine, I have walked this earth long before you and I will walk this earth long after you child." Her voice echoed in the room as if there was many of her speaking. Her golden eyes glowed and a thin light haze surrounded her. Suddenly a deep booming laugh pierced the room, the ground shook with the sear force. The room became hot, sweat beading on everyone's skin as steam raided off Lilith's hunched over body. "You think..." Lilith's hands gripped the whip wrapped around her neck, her voice deep and demonic. "that years of magic." The gold light shattered in her blacken grip. "Could ever be a match..." Lilith pushed off her knees, head throw back her spin cracked and broke as she stood up tall. Her skin became paler and covered in sweat. Her hair was plastered across her face, Her eyes glowed red. Something evil took over Lilith body, raised her black hand her finger tips formed into long claws. She slowly closed her hand into a clenched fist, as every human in the room began coughing blood clenching their chest. Abigail stood and watched as her mother ripped their beating hearts from their chest, bodies falling around the room." Ishaan get her somewhere safe, I'll follow shortly." Nadia voice rung above the swirling wind tearing the walls around them. "You can't run from the darkness Nadia!" Lilith's voice echoed somewhere in the smoke. "Now Ishaan, We don't have time. Keep her safe!" And with that Nadia vanished in the smoke, the sounds of crackling and bright light flashed around them. Abigail clinged to Ishaan's strong hand as they ran out the falling building. He dragged her down the hall dodging parts of the ceiling falling as the building shook with the deep growl of the demon in Lilith's body. Pushing the heavy front doors open Ishaan grabbed Abigail pulling a helmet over her small head, turning to start hotwiring the park motorcycle in the parking lot. "Have you ever driven before?" Abigail whispered. Yanking the cords out he began sparking the wire until the motorcycle roared to live. "I was once a man before this." He throw his leg over the bike, knocking the kickstand back he waited for Abigail to hop on. She turned looking back at the high school, twirling her necklace in her fingers, watching the building shake and crumble before throwing her leg over the side of the bike, gripping tight to Ishaan's waist. Revving the bike Ishaan pealed out of the gravel road, Abigail turned back and watch as the building fell down in a cloud of smoke as they turned the corner speeding away.
