Finally after a long day at office, Manik was standing outside his apartment.
Controlling his excitement to know how Nandini's first day at Acting School was, Manik rang the doorbell.
Within a blink, the door was answered by Nandini, who had a long face.
Perplexed with Nandini's sober face, Manik queried " kya hua Golu Molu???...why are you looking so sad???...kisi ne tumse kuch kaha kya??? "
Staring back at Manik, Nandini replied " we need to talk..."
Still confused, Manik kept his laptop bag aside and said " haan bolo naa kya hua hai "
Taking a deep breath, finally Nandini declared " Manik...I think...I am pregnant! "
Dropping the bomb on Manik's head, Nandini patiently waited for his reaction.
Calmly Manik exclaimed " ohh...okay "
Saying this, Manik took his place on the couch and started folding the sleeves of his shirt.
After thinking a bit, Manik started talking " I guess then ...kal subha hi we should meet a gynecologist!!!...ghar pein bhi sab ko inform kar denge!!!...main office mein bhi baat kar lunga taaki ane wala 9 months main ghar se kaam kar saku!!!...it would be better agar hum kisi aur bade apartment mein shift ho jaye...after all humare baby ko khelne ke liye aur bada jagah milega!!!...we also need to decide on our babies name!!!..infact main kal hi Cabir se keh ke saare play schools ki ek list manga leta hu!!!...aur..."
Interrupting Manik's future planning, Nandini screamed in horror " basssss!!!"
Nandini was never expecting this kind of a reaction from Manik.
Nandini ( gravely ) : Manik breath!!!...I was just kidding!!!
Manik ( casually) : yeah I know!!!...you are the one who is going to bring our kid into this world...
Seeing her prank miserably backfire, Nandini face palmed.
Nandini ( agitated ) : arrey I was kidding ...as in I was joking!!!!
Hearing this Manik went into a totally dumb and deaf mode.
Regretting about playing this prank on Manik, Nandini sat closer to Manik and cooed " tum kuch bol kyon rahe ho????...it was just a stupid prank!!!...I am sorry!!!...tum mujhe daant lo yah chahein maar lo!!!...but please say something..."
Turning his face, Manik looked at Nandini, who was looking all pale and ready to cry.
Manik ( seriously ) : aapna dono haath aage karo...
Not at all wanting to upset Manik further, Nandini obliged with his orders.
Grabbing both her hands securely, Manik mischievously remarked " now who is going to save you Nandu baby!!!!"
Before Nandini could comprehend, she found herself hopelessly smiling as Manik launched a tickling assault on her.
Manik ( grinning ) : tum jitna mujhe ullu samajhti ho naa...main actually mein uttna hu nehi!!!
Nandini ( giggling ) : sorry sorry....please ab toh chhod do!!!
Taking his revenge on her ,Manik concluded " this is my kind of revenge..."
Placing her head on Manik's chest, Nandini pulled his cheeks and asked " waise....agar main sacch mein pregnant hoti Manik...toh tum kya karte???? "
Kissing her forehead in assurance, Manik replied " mera reaction same hota Nandini!!!...I would have been the happiest person!!!"
On sensing that Nandini's eyes were getting a bit teary, Manik added " though...kuch hone ke liye kuch karna paddta hai!!!...and as far as I know...hum logo ne abhi taak waisa kuch kiya nehi hai!!!"
