It was a normal day karla,my mom,&myself were watching tv when we hear a knock at the door
"I'll get it" i say smiling
"Hello lana" my dad says
"DAD?" i scream
Mom&karla come running
"Xavier?" My mom asks
"Hi destiny" he says smiling
She sighs "come in"
He does and karla shuts the door
"Why are you here?" I ask
"Honey, be polite" my mom says
I scoff "polite? POLITE? YOU WANT ME TO BE POLITE TO THIS MAN WHO LEFT YOU WHEN YOU NEEDED HIM THE MOST?? AND WHO'S MOTHER&HIMSELF CALLED YOUR DAUGHTER "MISTAKE"?" i scream
"She's right destiny she doesn't need to be nice to me" Xavier says
"Explain yourself Xavier!" I beam
My mom sighs defeated
"I'm here to apologize for you 1 and 2 I'm getting remarried i want you&your mom there and whoever else you wanna bring" he says smiling
[I feel my blood boiling]
"GET OUT!" i scream
"What?" He asks
"LEAVE XAVIER! NOW!" i scream
He sighs "I'll give you sometime to cool off the wedding is in 2 weeks I'll be here with Cassandra all month" he says shutting the door
"Mom, can i please go to river's place? I need time" i say
"Sure sweetie i do too if I'm being honest" she says going to her room i head upstairs take a shower apply some make up curl my hair and throw this on

"Karla? You coming with?" I ask
"Yeah I'll see jake and give your mom sometime" she says
We hop in my car and drive to river's house
*river's house*
"Hello lana, karla come in" audrey says smiling
We smile "thanks Aubrey"
"No problem, river just got back from the warehouse with the guys so jake is in the game room and river is in his room" she says smiling
"Thank you!" We beam
"No problem girls" she says smiling
I head upstairs to river's room and karla heads up to the game room on the other side of the house
"Hey beautiful" river says smiling
I hug him tighty he hugs back "you okay?" He asks
I shake my head no
"Sit down on the bed what's going on?" He asks
I feel tears in my eyes i sigh and shake my head "my father...showed..up.."
His eyes widen "did he hurt you?"
"Not physically but emotionally? Yes" i say wiping my tears away
"What did he do?" River asks
"He's getting remarried and wants me&mom there along with whoever else we wanna bring" i say shaking my head
"I'm sorry princess" he says smiling
"I know he deserves to be happy but i don't think calling his daughter a mistake is a saint" i say
"It's not but your right he does deserve happiness what else did he say?" River asks
"I told him to get out he said the wedding is in 2 weeks and he's in town with Cassandra for the next month and he's gonna let me cool off momma needs time too" i say shrugging
He hugs me i hug back "I'm always here princess"
"I know I'm so thankful for you" i say smiling
He smiles "so how about we watch a movie or 2 too get your mind off of it?" He asks
"Oooooo! Let's watch the mummy trilogy!!" I beam
"1999 version?" He asks
"Yes the classics as i call them didn't care much for the 2017 version" i say shrugging
He shrugs "neither did i"
We settle down on the bed and watch the mummy trilogy
*the mummy*
"I thought the book of amshare was golden?" Rick asks
"It is. This isn't the book of amshare i this is the book of the dead" evie says
"Uh think you should be playing around with that thing?" Rick asks
"It's only a book no harm ever came from reading a book" evie says
"What's it say?" Rick asks
*the mummy returns*
"Where do you want me to put this the sucker weighs a god dang ton" alex says
"ALEX! WATCH YOU LANGUAGE!" evie yells
"So tell me again why we are looking for anubis's army?" Rick asks
*the mummy:tomb of the drgaon emperor*
"So the witch cursed him because he killed her lover?" River asks
"Yes she read the spell in transript i believe might be wrong don't quote me" i say
"So, if the curse was lifted?" River asks
"A hell would rain upon earth pretty much and no one would stop it but it happens and rick o'Connell stops it" i say smiling
"You've seen this before?" He asks
"All of them i just love the trilogy so much!" I beam
"I seen the first 2 not this one" he says
My eyes widen "then pretend you heard nothing i won't say anymore" i say laughing
