In the far away land of Momua, a legend has always been told about the Queens of Yesterday- the three unassuming sisters who ran away and formed their own safe haven for girls and women at a time when the whole world was against them.
Amara, the oldest sister, was the most beautiful lady in all of Momua. Her dainty looks and pretty face captured the heart of every man and woman in the kingdom.
Anita, the middle sister, had the sharpest and most brilliant mind of anyone in all of Momua- no matter the problem, she would always have an answer for it.
Alana, the youngest sister, was gifted with a wondrous voice that would mesmerize even the most-hardhearted of men and women with her heavenly singing.
The three sisters captured the attention of the three princes of the nearby kingdom Trinda. The pompous oldest prince, soon to be named the Trindan King, wanted Anita to be his Queen, as her sharp thinking would assure his popularity among the subjects. The middle prince, a famed but greedy trader, wanted Amara as his wife so he could show off her beauty to all his competitors. The youngest prince, an irrational hunter, devised a plan to use Alana's voice to lull animals to sleep so he could hunt them.
Against their wishes, the princesses' father sold them away to Trinda, where the three princesses lived unhappily, forced to yield to their husbands' every desire. Legend says that they reached the breaking point and escaped their oppressive lives, ran away from the palace, and formed the Sanctuary, a safe haven for women and girls of all ages, desperate for a home. Some also believe that the women they took in grew up to be lethal fighters, sabotaging and attacking any who dared mistreat any girls. They were trained to be killing machines.
Of course, it was just a legend.
Just an old midwife's tale meant to scare the little ones.
Right?

So welcome to Queen of Yesterday, my new WIP! I hope you stick around, because this will update at least twice a week!
