(A/n this is my first fanfic, please be nice. But I'd love some feedback! Also this story is inspired by a writing prompt I saw on Pinterest)
I sit quietly with a single glass of water in front of me. The busy restaurant echos with life around me. I look up to see the young waiter come back over to my table.
"I'm sorry sir, but I need you to order something soon. We are very busy tonight and we need the table."
"He'll be here!" I cry out, gaining a few glances from the surrounding tables. "Don't worry, he'll show up."
I don't know if I'm trying to convince him or me. The waiter smiles sadly and walks away. He's never been this late, I mean he works hard, but he usually calls. My phone buzzes and I eagerly pick it up, expecting a text from my boyfriend. Instead, it's a Snapchat from my best friend, but I choose to ignore it. I'm in no mood for his drunken snapchats. I look at my watch for the hundredth time that night, 8:32. I'd been waiting for two hours. I sigh and start to stand up to leave, when someone suddenly hugs me.
"My name is Jung Hoseok, go with it." He whispers into my ear, before quickly letting me go and sitting down at the table across from me. "Sorry I'm late babe. My boss kept me after hours again. You know how he gets sometimes." He says with a smile. I stare at him in confusion, but sit down.
"Um, that's ok Hoseok... I understand." I respond. I'm not sure what he's trying to do here. He leans across the table and whispers, "Anyone dumb enough to leave a handsome guy like you waiting for this long doesn't deserve you." He leans back into his chair. I open my mouth to defend my boyfriend when the waiter comes back over.
"Oh I see your boyfriend has made an appearance! Are you gentlemen ready to order then?"
I look at the boy across from me in annoyance, "Yeah babe, are you ready to order?" Hoseok nods and we give the waiter our order. After he leaves, I can't help but stare at the guy in front of me.
(A/N this is the look I've picked for hobi)
I stare at his pink hair and handsome face. Stop it, I tell myself. You have a boyfriend whom you love very much. I feel my cheeks begin to blush as Hoseok stares at me.
"Well? Are you going to tell me your name? Or do I have to sit here in suspense the entire evening?" Hoseok says with a small laugh.
"Oh... um. Yoongi." I find myself saying, "Min Yoongi." I push my mint hair out my eyes and look away from his gaze. We sat for a few minutes in uncomfortable silence. What the hell are we supposed to talk about? "So uh, what do you do?"
"I'm a choreographer. I work for BigHit Entertainment." Hoseok said crossing his arms and smirking.
"Wait you work for BigHit? Do you work with BTS?" Hoseok's eyes narrow a little bit.
"Don't tell me. You're a big fan, can you meet them, bla bla bla." Hoseok scoffs, "This is why I don't normally talk about work."
"No that's not it at all!" I reply, "I actually know them, I know Kim Taehyung from back home." Hoseok relaxes and shakes his head lightly.
"What a small world." He laughs, "So you're from Daegu? How did you end up in Seoul?"
"I moved here to study music." Not a lie, but a guy like him probably doesn't care about classical music, so that's all he needs to know.
...
Once the conversation started, it didn't stop. We talked all throughout dinner and for a while after. Apart from the beginning, we actually had a nice dinner together. I almost forgot why he sat with me. Almost.
We stood outside the restaurant, it was chilly, but still comfortable.
"I had a great night with you, Yoongi." Hoseok said with a smile. He looked at the ground as his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "Um... I was wondering. Would you maybe wanna go on a real date? We could go out for drinks?" He looked up at me, hopeful.
Now it was my turn to blush. I couldn't deny that I had a great night as well. I couldn't deny how attractive he was, or how funny and kind he was... but I did have a boyfriend.
"Hoseok, I won't lie and say that I didn't have a great time with you, but I do have a boyfriend." I felt bad, but I wouldn't cheat on my boyfriend by going on a real date with another guy. Not even a guy like Hoseok.
"Hey, I get it. How about we stick with being friends? Can I have your phone? I'll put my number in." He looks a little embarrassed, but still has that contagious smile on his face. I smile back and hand him my phone. When he hands it back, I look at the contact.
"Hobi?" I question.
He scratches the back of his head, "Ha yeah, that's what my friends call me." I smile at him.
"Ok then, Hobi. I guess I'll see you around."
"Definitely, have a good night Yoongi." He turns with a wave and heads to his car. I watch him walk away with a smile on my face.
My phone buzzes and I look and see another snapchat from my best friend. I sigh, but decide I'm in a good enough mood to see his drunk snaps. I open the snap and it's a picture of him at a bar, time stamp of 8:31. His following snap made my heart drop. With a time stamp of 10:03, there is a video of Jimin making out with a guy at the same bar. I just watched a video of my boyfriend kissing another man.
(A/N again this is my first fanfic ever, so be nice. I would really appreciate feedback as the story progresses tho. Also I tried to proof read but you know how that goes sometimes. So please forgive any errors. I purple you!!!)
