A Broken Promise

The Promise

        

(A/N: All of these characters are mine and this story is based off of my life but the characters names are not real! Now on with the story!)

             Hi my name is Alex- "Wait let me tell the story" Jacob whined "And that was my boyfriend......Now Jacob I am telling the story so deal with it okay?" "Fine" Jacob said stubbornly "Now on with the story....." 

We were five and at the busy New York park. I was a winter day and snow was falling delicately to the ground. We having fun playing on the swings and trying to catch the snowflakes on our little toddler tongues. When suddenly a loud Boom shook us out of our snowflake catching fun. We were being like regular kids and got curious so we went to go check it out. I was so scared that i hung on to Jacob like my life depended on it. As we got closer to what looked like a body laying on the ground we neared the corner and to my surprise it was Jacobs mom.  (A/N: I am so sorry Jacob...) She was dead. She had a bullet hole in her head and a person in all black being chased by the policeman behind her. Because we were toddlers and didn't know any better Jacob started to try and wake her up. Then one police man came up and asked Jacob if this was his mom and he nodded the police man tried to comfort Jacob as he told him his mom was dead. Jacob started crying and ran towards his house and I ran after him ignoring the snowflakes landing on my face and making me cold. We got to his house, but the police had got here first and his dad just sat there crying in the door way as the police told him the bad news. Then, Jacob turned to me and said I p-promise never to l-eave you....and hugged me. We stood there crying for 10 minutes before his dad made us come inside.
