The last thing I remember before I fell into a deep sleep were the monotone sounds blaring from the floating cubes that lined the metal halls of the ship I was in. My eyes scanned the room I was in, it was filled with a soft light, warming the soft fur that covered my body. I was young, only a pup when my life changed for the worse.

The alarms continued to blare, only to be drowned out by the deafening sounds of explosions shaking the massive warship. Hard to believe that anything could even get close to this massive ship, with the rows upon rows of particle cannons lining the ten mile long ship. Its long, angular shape made of isosceles triangles allowed for the force from hits taken on the ship to be distributed safety across the ship. The shields around the ship continued to flare as a black energy fired from an unseen enemy within the darkness of space. I was frightened by the flashing lights and the rocking of the ship, I had no clue what was even going on outside of the warm metal and glass pod that I was placed in. Everything was happening so fast, the explosions and sounds of battle increased as the two smaller warships escorting us joined in the fight. Then I heard a familiar voice..The soothing voice of my mother..

"Sparkus, they have us outgunned and outnumbered...We need to make a break for it and secure our pups." My mother said in a soft and concerned voice. My mother dawned a kimono like him, but it had no cover over her midsection. Covering her forearms were flowing sleeves held up by a metal band on her biceps.

"I know my love," Sparkus sighed softly and looked at the pod, then at a device in his paw. His fur was a golden yellow with white fur on his chest and belly. He wore a loose kimono-like robe with golden armor on his right arm and on his thick tail that swished behind him. The ship shook again, causing Sparkus and his wife to grab onto each other. They looked at each other, then quickly ran out of the room and down the halls.

Sparkus ran down he halls, his digitigrade legs allowing him to take long strides down the hall. Others were rushing around the halls as well, all wearing a variety of different colored kimonos heading to the cannons and to the ship launching bays. Everything was a blur for Sparkus as he rushed towards the command center, he needed to take command and save the ships and his men. The ship shook more, the shields were hardly holding up against the onslaught of fire from the enemy ships. The golden furred commanding officer rushed into the command center, stopping by a large glowing sphere of energy in the center of the room. Around the room were many screens showing each side of the ship on the corresponding side of the room. He looked to his left, there were two unidentified ships attacking their flank with energy weapons. The sphere made a soft humming sound as he placed his paw on the smooth glass surface, then pulled it away. Four glowing rings of light blue energy slid out after his paw, then began to project a form of text into the air detailing the information coming into the ship. Two ships on the left, unknown amount to the right..

"Listen up, I am taking command, and we have to lose them in order to deliver the package to the objective. Now tell me everything we know about those damned ships. What is the origin of their existence and their affiliation?" Spakrus asked as he pulled three more circles out of the sphere. They formed a spinning triangle in front of him, each summoning three more within the circles. Each of the smaller circles launched out and connected with the main cannon targeting screens. He pressed a finger against the center, activating the massive cannons.

"They are energy based, appears to be..Djinn," one of the various soldiers said. She frowned and flicked the image over to him, showing a massive tear shaped ship surging with black energy. In the center were three massive black orbs of energy and lining each level of the ship were cannons unleashing a barrage of projectiles at the ship. Two smaller ships with only one black sphere were at its flanks, and two more of the smaller ships were on their left. The images zoomed in on the spheres, showing whatever information that was obtainable by their systems.

"Target the spheres with our main artillery, those are antimatter generators. We take those out, the ships are dead in space. Focus most of our cannons on the flagship, and send three groups of fighters each to counter the fighters that are being launched to attack our flanking ships. Send a smaller group to escort the package." Sparkus said and looked at the screens, "do this for the honor of the Draconi race."

All I remember after being moved was dreaming of falling...Falling endlessly...
