Lightning

There is lightning in the sky,
thunder roaring through the clouds.
But now in this moment,
all I see is you and I.

There is lightning in the sky,
the darkness swallowing us whole.
It is scary here in this shelter
but I still see the stars in your eyes.

There is lightning in the sky,
it sparks through the walls.
I wish I was braver,
but you say it's okay to cry.

There is lightning in the sky,
the house rattles and shakes.

But it's alright, really.
Because you're by my side.

It's raining now and the thunder just killed one of my sockets [ and the wire connected to it.
