Chapter Four: The Break-In

I woke up in shock,pain tingled through my veins and near my heart.I was in another hospital bed,i opened my eyes and looked around.I was confused to see that doctors were testing the scientists... There was no-one around my bed.It was unusual.I looked at myself.

I was petrified.

My veins had turned from blue to white and my whole body seemed... powerful.

"Patient Two to Dr Griffins Room"

The name sounded familiar.I looked at my number,I was Patient Two.I saw the doctor walking towards me,she looked petrified.What happened back there? She grabbed my bed and started taking it through the corridor,i noticed her hands were shaking.It terrified me.When we got there,I got out the bed and went to the door,when I opened it I sighted a tall man.He was as tall as a skyscaper and looked devilike.He was Horrifying.

"Its rude to stare William"said a familiar voice.

I looked behind me,it was Dr Griffins,now I remembered,he was the person who told me about my condition from when I was 6.
I sat in my chair and looked at Dr Griffins.

"Hello Toby,been a while"He said

He was looking straight at me,it looked very serious.

"Yes it has been,so tell me doc,what really happened back there"I replied

He was acting a little strange,I could tell he was a little speechless.

"I found out earlier today that you have had a mutation in your light genes.I also heard it was so great that it created a shock which covered the whole left wing of the vault and knocked out around 200 people.We will need to take you back to your testing chamber.However,you have helped us deeply and we know how to stop the Darkn......"

He was stabbed

I looked at his stomach and saw a black sharp object.I looked behind him and... I... was... Stunned,it.. was.. a.... Darkness.I looked as if his flesh was torn off and was repeatedly bucketed with ink.It's face looked like devilish and its emotions were like hellfire.I was terrified for my life.I looked left to see Dr Williams run off in terror.Instead,I was paralyzed to the conflict of death. He ran towards me as fast as the speed of light.I looked away only thinking of the blackness of the afterlife.

He got hold of me an put his hand on my head,it shoke,almost like it was processing.I looked around me,I saw Griffins looking at me in sadness,i felt pain.I saw next to me a broken piece of glass.I reached out with my only available hand and grabbed the glass.He suddenly realized it and through me across the room.

I dropped the glass.My back ached a little but,i didn feel much pain,unusual.It ran towards me.I closed my eyes and reach out my hand for protection.Until... nothing,i couldn't hear anything,and couldn't feel it tearing my soul apart,I opened my eyes and removed my arms.

It was....gone?

I ran to Griffins.His eyes weren't open,i felt for his heartbeat,he was still breathing.I screamed for help constantly. But no-one came.I suddenly performed CPR.I started pushing both hand at his heart and used one of the resuficators.After 4 minutes he woke up.He looked blank and pale.

"Toby"

I looked at him in sadness.

"Your going to be okay Doc"I said in the softest voice ever.

'No,im not,my soul is dissapearing with my my flesh,that weapon drained my last piece of strength,here,take this,it a map of the wasteland,with that darkness knowing of our research,they will be after us,it will take you to where ever you like,I have even marked where we are and a hideout for moments like this,what you have is truly special.Farewell Friend.'Dr Griffins Explained in a crooked voice.
