New Life

Will and I met up with Benny and had caught the first flight we could back to America. We decided to stop in San Diego. The first thing we did was go to a doctor.

"Miller" we both stood and followed the doctor I had all the tests done, my blood pressure was a little high but given everything we had been through it didn't surprise me. After we checked to make sure everything was ok I got a prescription for vitamins and we left. I went and bought a car with some cash and we started driving. We ended up in Washington, Will and I settled in a small town called Marysville and Benny stayed a short while away in a place called Port Angeles. He had wanted to stay in Seattle but Will and I talked him out of it as it was way too dangerous. After all this shit nothing could or would be the same at any moment it could all blow back and we had to be smart.

I was able to get a work from home job that I had a pay card with under an alias. I also got Will a job as a counselor so he received calls from veterans who were having a hard time and needed someone to speak with. It took awhile but I felt like I had to constantly look over my shoulder about everything. We did leave to go to Tom's service and talk to his ex and the girls. We kind of lied saying we had a private mission and it had went wrong I did let them know how much he loved them and how much of a hero he was and always had been. He died saving my life because he knew I was pregnant. Somehow we managed to make them feel better, I gave the girls my phone number in case they ever needed anything or just wanted to talk. After we went back to Washington and tried to start our lives again. We got a small 3 bedroom house in a nice little neighborhood. I was able to put the last little bit of the money I had snagged into an account for the baby and made sure it couldn't be touched until they were 25. Being pregnant was the most crazy surreal and amazing thing I had ever went through in my life. I don't think I had loved Will more than I had during this experience. I thought he was amazing before but that had nothing on now. He always was the perfect gentleman but he doted on me even more if possible. I wanted plain lays and pickles and he for real at 10pm went out in the pouring rain just to get me more. Anytime my back hurt he was there rubbing it, anything to make me more comfortable he did. Lucky was an understatement.
