Chapter 0 - The Promise Stands Still

The last thing I remember from the other side was Kirell's face. And now, I was alone, in what it seems to be a pitch black, endless room.
My plan didn't work as expected. Sadly, the luck was on Kirell's side, and the gun exploded on my face. When it happened, I got terrified and thought this was the end of me. I also blamed myself for getting myself killed, because now, there is no one else to stop Kirell, except for Phillio. Still, I don't believe that guy will stop her from coming back. He is on my side, but he is really curious to see what will happen if she comes back. It's like he wanted to see the chaos unfold, and I still don't got it yet.
But, when I thought it was over, I felt Phillio's presence. His Requiem Necklace, shining somewhere in the dark. Then I remembered: my letter.
I still had my bag with me. Surprisingly, it didn't disappear even if I wasn't able to finish my task. It's like it's still giving me some time to finish it. And I didn't realized what I had to do until now.
Now I can see I have a lot of time left to do what I wanted to do.
I slowly approached to the necklace, still shining in the dark. I used it's light to write my letter.
After I finished writting, I've put it inside my bag, and left the bag next to the necklace. Then, I whispered.
"Take the letter from my bag, and give it to Kirell."
For a moment, the necklace shined back to me and the bag disappeared, before everything gets completely dark, and I waited.
When I thought things were over, I felt my body get lighter, and start to shine. I then started dissolving, and I remembered Balaam's body doing the same thing too. I smirked, even in the dark.
- This isn't the end Kirell. We'll meet one more time when this is over. Just wait and see.
And then, my own last words written to Kirell played in my head.
"Bet you're glad you came out of that alive - even though I died. But you don't care about that.
I'm never forgiving you. You just wait and see.
I'll be cursing you until the day I die - and then some!"
And then, I disappeared, and the real world looked more clear than ever.
