"Alright guys, good practice today. I'll see you all at Jonathan's place tonight." Q explains. I groan to myself, knowing I would have to go by myself and knew nobody but the guys there. We all get dressed and filed out, slowly.
"Faith you coming tonight?" Sharp asks.
"I don't know, I'll be by myself. My best friends just left for college, so I'll be alone."
"Nonsense, you could meet Abby and Madelyn. The rest of the girlfriends as well. You could meet some great friends that are girls, whenever your other friends are gone and not us guys."
"Fine, I'll come," I sigh giving in.
"Good, everyone is really great, you'll love them."
I arrive at the Palace Grill, which is right down the street from the United Center, to order my lunch usual, for what I get before a home game, or after a morning practice. Which includes Fish & Chips, Mozzarella Sticks and a Chocolate Milkshake. I know very healthy but it's my thing for lunch while breakfast and dinner are healthy.
After lunch, I of back home and rest for a bit, before I decide to get ready for the get-together tonight. I get dressed into a black long sleeve short skirt dress with black thigh heeled boots, then topped it with a light brown leather jacket. My hair up in a ponytail with a few strands falling on both sides. I did the basic makeup that I could do without Thea or Hazel's help.
I grab my scarf and coat and then get in my car, and drive to Jonathan's place, I manage to find parking then go up to his condo. I knock on the door and Jonathan opens the door.
"Hey Faith, I'm glad you could make it,"
"Yeah, me too," I mumble. I walk inside looking for Sharpy, someone to help me not look like a fool. I twindle with my fingers, as I work my way through the crowd.
"Faith!" I hear someone shout, I turn around to see Andrew with a beautiful short blonde haired girl. I walk towards the couple.
"Faith, this is my girlfriend Chaunette, Chaunette this is Faith, one of my teammates. We're trying for her to branch out from us guys because her friends just left for college."
"Nice to meet you," she says.
"You too, but thank you Shawzy for that beautiful explanation," I say sarcastically.
"No problem, I'll let you guys get to know each other since you are both new," Andrew says before leaving us alone.
"I've noticed you have a bit of an accent..." Chaunette questions as soon as Andrew leaves.
"I'm from a town outside of Montreal, my mom is American, and my dad is Canadian so I was taught French and English while growing up in Montreal. I just kind of grew that accent. How long have you and Andrew been dating?"
"Almost two years. Are you dating anyone?"
"Yeah, a Bruins player for about a year now. We were really good friends before we started to date, but feelings started."
