End Of The First Day

Chapter two: The End Of The First Day.

 

I was staring patiently at the clock, watching the small black ands slowly spin round. ‘BBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGG.’ The bell rang and every one jumped out of their seats running like a stamped towards the door. I strolled over to my locker concentrating on my phone. “Hey there,” I jumped as someone tapped my shoulder, I flicked my head to see Kyle standing there with a wide grin on his face.

 I shoved him lightly “Don’t do that.” I spat “I nearly had a heart attack!” My face red, he laughed and patted my head.

 

 “Why so sensitive?” he practically sang as I opened my locker.

 

 “I’m tired. Why are you so cherry?” I responded putting my books back in my locker.

 

 “Ha its only the first day and your tired and because…” He said giggling excitedly.

 

 “What?” I said curiously.

 

 “I GOT MY LEARNERS.” Kyle yelled jumping up and down like a child.

 

 “ahahaha congrats.”  I said giving him a high five. I closed my locker and started to walk to the front of the building, Kyle following on my heels like a lost dog.

 

 “What are we gonna do this afternoon?” Kyle asked while half leaning on me.

 

 I nudged him off “I will be going to the mall with Maddi. You are more than welcome to join us.” I said, already knowing that he would say yes because he’s head over heels for Maddi and she is head over heels for him he doesn’t know that yet.

 

 He tugged at the bottom of his plaid shirt looking at the ground. “Yeah that will be great.” A grin spread across his face and he started to jog to the entrance.

 

 When I finally got out of the giant brick building Kyle was sitting on the stairs impatiently waiting for Maddi to get here, his eyes would flick to any car that moved to see if it was her and when it wasn’t he would let out a sigh and look back at the ground his hair falling perfectly across his face.

 

 “Get in losers we’re going shopping.” Kyle’s head flicked up to see Maddi’s car in front of us. Her  straight brown hair was up in a small pony tail and she had designer shades on, she motioned for us to jump in faster as we stood up.

 

 “bahahahaha we’re coming.” I said trying to act as posh as possible. “SHOTGUN.”I yelled. Before Kyle could even disagree I was opening the door and sliding in. the car wasn’t the most attractive but it wasn’t the worst either. It was a second hand one, a small purple ford with stickers covering the back. Kyle muttered something under his breath about me getting to the front seat as he climbed in the back.

 

 “Where are we going to guys?” Maddi asked as she put her car into drive and started to leave the school car park.

 

 “Where we went yesterday.” I chirped. I was excited because there was a new shopping centre just around the corner from the school.

 

 “Ha ok.”  Maddi said while slowing down at the lights and turning to look at Kyle.

 

 “What?” the look on Kyle's face made me laugh, he had that look a five year old gets when you call their name and they think they’re in trouble.

 

Maddi flicked her head back to the road “N...Nothing” she said starting to go red with embarrassment. I just giggled at the both of them and started to fiddle with the radio. I turned it to b105.9 and turned it up. I looked out the window and waiting for the centro to come into view, Maddi turned a corner and there it was the massive new shopping center came into view, she slowly turned in and found the closest park.

 “Hell yeah we are here.” I said jumping out of the car with Maddi laughing as she slid out gracefully.

 

 “Hahaha calm down.” Kyle laughed as he slammed the door. We all started skipping towards the entrance where some poor guy was standing in the blazing sun handing out flyers for some jewellery store.
