3| I'm Right Here

ELIZABETH POV

You've done it now Elizabeth. Why did I yell at him? He's probably going to do something horrible to me at school tomorrow. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard,

"PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"

I saw what looked like a man in a ski mask. I quickly did as I was told.

MELIODAS POV

"PUT YOUR HAND UP"

As soon as I heard that I panicked. I ran over to one of the windows to look inside. 

It was a robber. And he had a gun pointed to Elizabeth

Ok, Meliodas. I thought to myself, think. if I barged in either me or Elizabeth is gonna get shot. I can't let that happen. My best bet is to call the police. 

So I did.

"Hello this is 911, what's your emergency"

"Hello, there is a robber in my friend's house and the robber has a gun pointed to her."

"We'll be on our way!"

"WAIT!"

"What is it?"

"When the police come TURN OFF THE SIRENS! If the robber hears the sirens they're gonna know someone called the police and they might hurt Elizabeth."

"Got it, whatever you do don't go inside the house."

"Got it." and I hung up.

The next thing I know the police came and they're going to enter through the back doors.

ELIZABETH POV

This is it I thought. I'm going to die, as the robber still had the gun pointed to me. Tears were falling down my face in fear that I might die. Then I saw two cops seeking up behind the robber as they put their fingers to their lips telling me to stay quiet. 

Next thing I know the robber is on the ground after being tased by one of the cops and the robber drops the gun.

Tears still pouring down my face in shock I run out of the house. I see three police cars parked outside my house and then I see Meliodas.

MELIODAS POV

I see Elizabeth run out of the house crying. Thank god she was okay. Without thinking I just ran up to her and hugged her. She looked like she really needed it.

"Thank god you're okay," I whispered as she was still crying.

I was most surprised when she hugged me back. When she did I squeezed her tighter.

"I-I was so scared." she sobbed

"It's okay now I promise. I'm right here."

The next day at school Elizabeth didn't talk to me or the sins at all. I was confused to be honest.

When it was lunchtime I saw Elizabeth walking to where she always sat alone, but before she could sit I grabbed her wrist and asked her straight up.

"Elizabeth do you not trust us?"

I didn't even have to explain cause Elizabeth already knew what I meant.

"No."

She answered and pulled her wrist away about to walk off but then I grabbed it again. 

"Why?" 

"There is no one I can trust at this school. People like you just want to be my friend so they can just get something out of me."

"That not it, I swear."

she inhaled deeply and just looked at me. Like she was staring deep into my soul. But I jsut kept a straight face.

She shook her head lightly and ran away.

After that, she ran away but I ran back right behind her. I spent 5 minutes trying to find her until I saw her crying near a bush. Then she saw me.

"Please...leave me alone." she cried

"No."

She looked at me and I looked her dead in the eye. I walk over to her pulling her crying face into my chest.

"How can I trust that you really want to be my friend," she said in between sobs

"There's no way for me to prove to you I and my friends are worthy of your trust. I can tell you've been through a lot. Even if it only 1 percent of your trust, even if you keep your distance and even if you keep your guard up, one day I and my friends will be able to prove that we are worthy of your trust and friendship."

"I'm always going to be right here when you need me."

"I trust you."

Those words couldn't help but bring a smile to my face.
