His lips on mine. The sparks are real, travelling through my body. The pressure from them intensifies as we squeeze closer together. I can feel his hard chest on mine as I lean over the gear stick. My lips part in a sigh and he takes the opportunity to slide his tongue into my mouth, exploring. His tongue touches my lip and I melt a bit, grabbing his shirt. My hands travel from his shirt up his neck, working their way through his hair, and he pulls back the slightest bit as I tug, letting out a groan. The noise sends shivers down my spine. I insert my tongue in his mouth, running it over his perfect teeth. "Mmm." He pulls away, gasping. The air feels so cold on my exposed lips. Adjusting my shirt a bit, I attempt to fill the silence. "Well, that wa-" He crashes his lips back on mine. His mouth trails down my jaw and I squirm a bit, moaning. He brings his lips back to mine, biting my bottom lip. He tugs at it, his teeth cutting into the soft skin. I slide my hands lower, pressing on his shoulders as he pulls my lip. I can fe-
"...Ashley!" Zara calls for the third time.
"Wha-what?!" I exclaim, shaking myself back to reality.
"Wipe the drool off," she says, pointing to the corner of her mouth.
"Oh, ha ha." I say. Still, I dramatically rub my hand over the dry corner of my mouth, humoring her.
"Amber wants to talk," she says, handing me my phone on an open line. "I know you had fun last night, but you need to get it together, at least 'till later today, when you can spill all the juicy details." I glare at her before looking pointedly at the phone, where Amber is no doubt listening. "Oh, whatever! It's not like you're not going to tell her."
"Ooh, tell me what, tell me what? What happened last night?!" Amber's voice comes from the other end of the line.
I frowned. "I'll tell you next week, I guess. Speaking of which, eek, Thanksgiving break next week! I'll finally get to see you. Feels like it's been ages"
"Yeah... about that..." Amber's voice droops a bit. "I called to tell you that-"
"Oh no," I groan, my heart sinking in my chest. "Please don't tell me you're cancelling, too! Am I going to have to spend Thanksgiving day eating Walmart turkey and feeling sorry for myself?"
"No! I'm not cancelling! It's just, well, for one, Tucker and Auntie are going to be here for Thanksgiving, so you won't even be alone! And also, I was going to, um, invite Louis over? If it's okay with you, of course." The words tumble out of her mouth in seconds.I struggle to hear what Amber just blurted out supersonic. "Wait, Tucker and Auntie are going to be there? Yes, it's been so long since we've seen them!"
"You didn't answer the other part..." Amber stutters.
I sigh in resignation. "I mean, yeah, I guess so. Hopefully he'll have plans or something." Amber thinks I'm joking, but no, I'm really hoping he's busy.
She giggles. "Thanks, Ash, you're great! You know I'll always say yes when you want to invite a guy over."
I snort. Me? Invite a guy over? Green eyes flash into my mind and I shake them out rapidly. "In your dreams, Am.""Plus, Louis doesn't have plans. It's why I was going to ask him. His parents are on a two week cruise and won't be back until after."
Ugh. Just my luck.

It's a phone buzz that startles me out of my haze this time. I'm rereading Pride and Prejudice, now with a fresh perspective since I've been kissed by the dude I've been pining over for quite some time. It's not like this was my first kiss; in ninth grade I had my first sloppy kiss under the bleachers during a pep rally, and there were a few other guys(we don't talk about them). Plus, my high school ex-boyfriend of three months and I weren't... inexperienced. But nothing felt like this for some reason.
