The Zodiacs

Chapter 6

VIRGO POV

There was no sign of Aquarius anywhere. I mean where could she go. She knows we have to stick together. I use my zodiac powers to get a connection with Aquarius and no luck. Ever since we landed on Earth our powers been on and off, yet to discover our full potential.

"Val". I hear someone call my name. Lyon. He can tell how disturbed I am about this all.

"I failed her" I say to him. "Failed who? You know she'll be back",he replies.

I look up to the sky, how I miss you so much. "No". I take a deep breathe. "I mean the zodiac Queen", I want to turn to him and see his reaction but I already know the look on his face and what he'll say next.

"Come in Val you know this isn't your fault"

"But it is, I made a promise to your mother that I would watch over us whilst we find a way to get back and look" I can't face him. I can't show him the tears brewing in my eyes it'll hurt him even more. That's when I feel arms wrap around my waist.

"Lyon"

"Shh it'll be okay. I promise you we'll find a way back home so no need to cry"

He knows. Of course he does. I smile at the thought of it.

I turn around to face him. "Let's go back in , I can't stay up worrying about everything. Aquarius is probably okay and we're just overthinking" but why do I get the feeling that something bad is heading our way. I shake the thought out of head. He's right it's gonna be okay.

"I'm just gonna get an early rest if that's okay with you", I say.

"Yeah of course"

I walk back inside and head straight to my room. The others are still worried about Aquarius I can sense the whole house in disorder but tonight's not the night for me to worry. Tomorrow I'll look even harder. I close my room door hoping to be alone and I am. Capricorn (Carrie) is probably downstairs creating some elite plan to find her.

I throw myself onto the bed. My face hitting the soft pillows. They remind me of the ones back at home. Home. I smile at the thought of it. I'll find a way back to you. I turn to my side and see a white rose on top of my dresser.

I quickly get up and reach over to it. No note this time? I search around the nightstand and there under my bed I see it. Must of flew off when I got on my bed. I open the note and it's blank this time. I flip it to the other side and back. Strange. I don't know how you do it Lyon but thank you. I toss the empty piece of paper into my drawer. I'm far too tired to get up and throw it away

I close the drawer and get ready for bed. With the thoughts of home drifting me to sleep.

Dream

I was sitting on the grass in the secret garden. It was only me who knew about this place. Well I at least I hoped so. The only quiet place to actually get some reading done.

There was much work that needs to get done to become a guardian and being educated is one of them. There was too much to do. The royal ball for the queens birthday was coming up. The preparations all handed down to me and Capricorn.

I put the book down and fall back to feel the warmth of the three suns against my skin. I kick off my shoes to feel the grass prickle them underneath my foot. I love it out here. So quiet, so peaceful. How I wish I can be here forever.

I close my eyes and take a deep breathe. The smell of roses eases me to sleep.

I wake up suddenly remembering the amount of work I have to get done.

"Oh no oh no how long have I've been asleep"

I look to the sky and see the suns setting. There was too much to do and I need to get started. I pick up my books and I see a little note on top.

I grab the paper and see that the note is blank. Very strange. I start gathering my belongings when I remember the spell we learnt last week of encrypting secret messages in class and maybe this note could be it.

I cover the note in my hand, closing my eyes I begin the enchantment. I slowly lift my hand and see that that the spell worked.

"Stole my favourite spot"

Greatttt. Now someone else knows about it and I gotta share. I tuck the note into my textbook and head back inside making sure nobody finds out where I came from.

I poke my head out from behind the hedge that covers the secret garden and see that the coast is clear and right when I was about to turn I bump into a wall. There was never one there before and where did it even come from.

"So you're finally awake huh" I hear from in front of me.

"And I'm assuming you're the one who left the note" , I say. I slowly lift my head up to meet his gaze.
