𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫 🌻

taehyun sighed as he looked out his bedroom window. he started to close his eyes, listening to the sounds of the cars zooming by, the chattering of the people walking, all the sounds of the city.

he'd recently moved into an apartment which was closer towards school. it was a sign of maturity to the boy, finally living alone. having to take care of himself wasn't that big of an issue, he'd always been independent.

this new lifestyle had its downsides though, one of them being his neighbor.

choi beomgyu

every night he could hear his giggles, or his loud friends shouting in the middle of the night. it made the younger roll his eyes, but he was a tiny bit jealous.

he'd only met him a few times, usually they'd bump into eachother while walking to their places. beomgyu usually tried to spark up a conversation and be polite, taehyun would usually just give a short reply and go back into his room.

...before the boy could see the faint red painted on his cheeks.

"w-what is wrong with me?" taehyun groaned. he'd only started college a few weeks ago, and already he was becoming distracted by something-someone.

beomgyu was a popular face on campus. his bright personality and all the other charms that came along with him made people stare at him in awe.

taehyun tried his best to avoid the blonde during classes, hell he wasn't event sure if the boy knew he even attended the school.

taehyun didn't know what to do, he didn't exactly have a crush on the boy but he knew that there was something there.

he decided to tell his friend kai. kai was also his first friend he had made since he moved. it confused him how he had made such a friend who was the complete opposite of him. kai was entergetic and loud but he cared a lot of about taehyun and taehyun felt the same about him.

"argh, what time is it?" taehyun thought as he opened his eyes. a loud 'CRASH' noise from outside. the boy was about to just dismiss it as a random noise from upstairs and go back to sleep, but then he heard a knock at his door.

he whined as he got up from his bed and lazily made his way towards the door, he ran his hand through his hair and opened the door. "can i help y-"

he cut himself off as he looked at the boy in front of him, it was beomgyu. the blonde boy giggled nervously before speaking.

"sorry for it being so early, i just wanted to apologize for the loud noise it was my fault. i know i might not always be the best or most considerate neighbor b-"

"it's okay." taehyun cut him off, he honestly was just really tired. he rubbed his eyes and looked more closely at beomgyu, watching as the boy cleared his throat and looked down. "okay then, thanks for clearing things up i guess." taehyun said softly. he was about to close the door when the boy stopped him.

"WAIT!" beomgyu said, catching the boy off guard. "shh! and yes, what do you need?" taehyun questioned. "heh, sorry...but i just wanted to know your name. we've spoken a few times but i've never really asked." beomgyu scratched the back of his neck.

"it's taehyun, kang taehyun." the younger smiled. "taehyun..." beomgyu repeated to himself. "nice to meet you, i'm choi beomgyu-" he was mid-way into the action of raising his arm for a hand-shake, when he heard taehyun say, "i know."

taehyun mentally face-palmed himself, what the hell did he just say?!

"i'm sorry? how-" he once again cut off the confused boy, "ah, i'm really tired i'm gonna go now. BYE, BEOMGYU-HYUNG!" he quickly said before closing the door.

beomgyu was very confused but he brushed it off and went back to his room. the pan was still on the floor from when he dropped it. "taehyun..." he once again said to himself and smiled. the blonde decided to hurry off to sleep, he wanted to try and see if he could catch taehyun again in the morning before beomgyu had school.
