The sky had a dark,
gloomy look just as it always is as the boy walked to the prison where he was forced to learn all day. 'You don't have to learn. you're useless anyway' a voice murmured. 'Shut up' he muttered back to it. The cold air against his face felt good for a change as the leaves tumbled around on the ground.
As soon as he stepped foot on the school grounds, the voices started to become more powerful. He didn't want to hear them anymore. He tried to drown them out but, nothing worked. The endless nights of no sleep, therapy, nothing will help him. He's just a misfit and will just have to accept that. The voices echoed in his head.
As the metal doors locked behind him, he felt the warmth of being inside prick at his cheeks. Laughs and smiles were tossed throughout the hallways although the same old straight look remained on his face. "Good morning sunshine! hood off please!" an overenthusiastic teacher told him. He just shrugged off her request just as the voices had told him to and kept walking upstairs.
The smell of fresh coffee spilled the air as many kids pushed him into his locker. 'stupid' 'idiot' 'fat' 'annoying' the voices kept
murmuring louder and louder in his head. His colored hair fell in front of his face which made it even more difficult to navigate around the hallways. 'different'
He threw his books into his old, beat up, metal locker and walked to first period.
He sat in the same seat every single day. As he walked to the back of the room, people gave him looks and sneers. He sat down in his seat and looked at the clock. This was going to be a long day.
After attendance was taken, he turned his head to see 3 other people siting in the normally empty seats next to him in the back. 'Strange' the the voices told him. He tried not to focus on the boy with the olive colored skin next to him but it was kind of hard not to. 'Stop staring.' a voice scolded. The boy was to fascinated in the olive
colored skin boy to notice. He had never seen the boy before and was interested in his shirt. It was a All Time Low shirt. One of his favorite bands. "Hi." The boy whispered. "I'm Calum." The boy smiled back. "I'm Michael." he whispered smiling at the ground. He suddenly felt a feeling he had never felt before. The feeling of friendship.
