Journey

I was sitting on my island drinking a glass of wine.

I am definitely not stressing over kids or My overly controlling boss as work...

I just like wine.

I sat staring at the small TV sitting on top of my fridge. I slowly swirled my wine glass watching the politics channel.

Don't ask me why, politics are very interesting me. My grandmother has me hooked on watching debates and different shows that discusses nothing but politics and government shit.

I actually learn from this on my free time.

I remember that it's pretty late and ole girl forgot to take me to get my car.

How the fuck do I forget about my car?

I got my phone and texted Vinny.

Vinny

Me: I would love it if you can take me to get my car tomorrow...

Vinny: ...

Vinny: So you decided to text me

Me: Yessir, now can you take me to get my car tomorrow?

Vinny: watch that babygirl, and yea be up at 8.

Me: 8?! For what?!

Vinny: gn, see you in the morning.

Me: Hello?! Im not waking up at 8. Thats bullshit.

Me: Vinny?!

I sighed in annoyance.

She must be out of her fucking mind to think im waking up at eight in the morning to go get my damn car.

I finished my wine placing the glass in my sink. I hopped down and turned my TV off.

"She got me fucked up if she think Journey Marie Jenkins is getting up at 8." I scoffed getting in bed.

The next day...

"Glad you could comply." Vinny laughed as I stood at the edge of my sidewalk looking into her car.

"Look Vinny, it's 7:52 in the mutha' fucking morning. Take me to get my car."

"I never hindered you from getting in my car sweetheart, so be careful who you cussing at." She said in a sarcastically sweet tone.

Something about her "sense of charm" is off as fuck. She's fine and all, but I'm not feeling the way she be talking to me.

"Yea whatever.." I said opening her car door.

The club was only ten minutes away. I didn't say anything the whole car ride just so she would know I'm not fucking with this anymore. She was weird off jump.

"Here.." She said pulling up next to my car.

I opened the door and got out.

"No thank you?" She asked.

"Thank you." I said blandly walking to the drivers side of my car.
