chapter one:the boy

Tessa let a cool sigh escape her lips, letting her hot breath mingle with the cold air fading into a mist. She hated lines they were pointless why waste moments she could be hunting demons stood in a line for stupid fair ground. Even though she knew she'd enjoy it , her and Jon came every year it was like their little tradition, Jon looked at her curiously he eye brows twitching towards each he scanned her for a moment longer before saying " you know you'll enjoy it I dont get why you're so against just a little fun" tessa glance over at him in annoyance "I know I know" she replied and with that they returned to mutual silence.

Tessa let the coloured lights envelope her, she took a long deep breath letting the scent on joy and candyfloss mingle in her nose and stick to her toungue letting her senses become overwhelmed zoning herself in and out of strangers conversations until her wandering eyes landed upon a boy, a boy she could've sworn she knew but couldn't quite place she let herself focus in on him blocking out the dancing light and screams of pure joy. The boys looked as if he radiated confidence with a slight dusting of arrogance twisted into his DNA his fluffy blonde hair swept out of his piercing golden eyes he sported shadow hunter gear but looked to inlove with himself to be one that's when it clicked he was a herondale William herondale to be exact. Tessa's blood boiled under her skin she hated will herondale he was worse than her  deranged mother and that's saying something. Jon followed tessa's gaze curiously before sighing " he's not worth it, besides this is our night dont let him take that from me....please" tessa rolled her eyes and nodded before returning to her intense stalker like gaze. Will look bored and as if he were look for something tess shook her head Jon was right why become fixed on a thing that was so irrelevant it hurt a little. The man at the ticket booth looked both drained and depleted as he ushered us quickly through the barrier on to the faris wheel I let the cool air blow my hair peacefully and I felt Jon plop down next to me , I could feel his intense gaze resting one me. I opened one eye and looked questioningly before saying "it's rude to stare you know" he blushed and turned away quickly. I went back to looking at the world move rapidly away from me. I relaxed a little letting my stresses float out and diffuse into the atmosphere before my eyes caught some rushed movement down below and that's when I saw it will herondale and a demon full on fighting without a glamour in the middle of a public place I sighed heavily and muttered under my breath "that boy will be the death of me." I looked apologetically over at Jon who just nodded dissapointedly before I let my self drop of the edge of the small container lifting Jon and me though the air letting myself  land centre fight i immediately gave will a glance full of hatred before turning to the demon i took a step back when i realised she was being confronted by a mundane she stifiled a laugh before saying "you can see us" he eyed her worriedly whispering "I am not blind" I rolled my eyes in annoyance mundane were always cocky I gave will a look and said coolly "you're coming with us" and grabbed his arm neatly the boys hair cascaded neatly into his eyes which were lined with tears. Will looked at me eyes full of glee. I whipped my head back round at him and snarled "where did you even find this guy" he shrugged with a snigger "herondale, one of these times I wont be around to save you" I said he shrugged "from what little girl" "all those big bad ducks" i laughed as i watched him squirm all while keeping a firm grip on this new development.
