It all started as a good night. I was on my way to have my weekly visit to the local bar. I was free of the torment of Scout regiment as I had ran away to live safely within the inner walls.

However, I was bored of drinking alone. I had no friends and I didn't know anyone in Wall Sheena.

I was walking down the street, looking at several stores and people, noting how happy most of the people seemed, especially in comparison to me. Nothing really stimulated me anymore. Not Drinks, not good food, and I didn't have a sex life to speak of.

That was when I saw it. A bar with a fitting name "The lonely Man?" I said to myself. What a fitting name for me. Some faint embarrassment for the thought of it fitting me was at the back of my mind, but I pushed it aside.

As I saw yet another happy couple, I went in. Not many people seemed to be in it, since it was pretty late. I was so tired of seeing other people happy.

To my delight, it was a big, dark bar and it was selling several strong alcohols that I hadn't tried yet.

As I was perusing the various drinks, taking in the sights with great delight, I heard a a familliar feminine voice. It asked, "Do you need any recommendations sir?"

It was a voice which I hadn't heard in a very long time, a voice that haunted me due to the beatings I received while training. Yet, at the same time, it made my heart soar in ways it had not since I had heard my childhood crush laugh for the first time. It was the voice of a woman to whom I had spoken to and quarreled with for months long ago.

It was the dreaded voice of Annie Leonhardt, my nemesis. And yet, as I turned around and beheld her face and body, I felt confused. I should have jerked back in disgust and loathing. And yet, as I stared, I fell into a trance, enchanted by her seemingly perfect features. My mind, addled with confusion, forced words out of my mouth before I could stop myself. "Uh, no need..." I saw something flash within her beautiful, ocean blue eyes. It was recognition, and yet at the same time, something else flashed in her eyes. What it was, I cannot say.

Anticipation? Desire? Greed? Hatred?

I saw her mouth opened into an "O" shape, and her nose scrunch slightly at the same time her eyebrows furrowed, as if trying to remember where she had heard my voice before.

I couldn't think of anything. My spaghetti was spilling. So I ran. I ran to the bathroom, and then sat in a stall and hyperventilated, trying to reconcile my confusing romantic feelings and utter hatred for an incalculable amount of time. I did not know if minutes or hours had passed at the time. It must have been hours, for when I opened the stall again and crept out of the bathroom, the bar was dark and empty, save for the candle in the bathroom and the dim lights which filtered in from the windows outside.

I could not even see people outside, and the doors and windows were locked down with the common metal gates which I saw all the time over the windows and doors in the closed stores. I was trapped.

I sighed, and resigned myself to spend a night trapped in a bar. I left the vicinity of the doorway to the bathroom, and set about trying to find a carriable candle to light up the bar. That was then the bathroom candle went out enly, I was bathed in utter darkness. The only illuminated areas of the bare by the windows.I whirled around as I heard the unmistakable sound of something whooshing through the air, and my eyes just barely adjusted to the darkness in time to make out the face of my nemesis, before whatever weapon she held impacted with the side of my head and I succumbed to unconsciousness.
